Dear god, this food was so good, so satisfying, so hood, and i LOVED IT. Atmosphere is small and close. People are friendly, service is friendly and good, very down home feel. Might be too loud if youre not a local, but don't let the staff yelling at each other put you off, its part of the charm and its very familiar.

Friendly staff, especially Roy the owner. You come for the breakfast, especially the delectable homemade biscuits, grilled steak, eggs how you want them, hashbrowns, toast or grits. I have had them all.and let me.tell.you even my out of town guests love it! They have dinners, dressing, mac and cheese, cabbage and peas and usually all the southernfixings, they rotate. Tell them Kathy sent you!

I love Roy’s meatloaf I stay in Nebraska and every time I visit Chicago I try my hardest to make sure that I am there on Thursday so I can enjoy some this is the one of they best soul food spots in the chi hands down

Delicious food, great prices and fast service!

The breakfast is nasty asl.poor service. Very disappointed. Not edible. Not even the stale ass coffee. Ugh....

Will tell others, wait staff friendly, nice, and interacted with their customers. Food was great, will be returning.
