Loved the food. The papaya salad was great. Ordered the pineapple fried rice, green curry chicken and green curry pad Thai. All were good. The pad Thai portion size was a bit small .

The food is sugar heavy. This is not the authentic taste of Thai dishes. I know because I was very immersed in Thai culture and cuisine for 7+ years. If you like a sweeter flavor of Thai food, this will suit you. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

We really enjoyed this place! The food was good, the server was attentive, the specials were amazing! The tables filled up quickly, so we were glad to get there right at the beginning of happy hour and get a great table by the window! We'll definitely visit again next time we're in DC!

This place was really great. They have 3 floors and any of the upper spaces are great to have a group dinner. The staff is very welcoming and everyone was so kind. We waiting for them to get the upstairs ready as we had a large group. After arriving, we were seated in about 5 minutes and the waiter came right away with water. He later returned to ask about drinks and then followed by the food. They have a large assortment of drinks, both alcoholic and virgin, and they all tasted great. The food menu was pretty diverse as well, and all their fried rice dishes tasted amazing. They had different spice levels and it was a great time.

Quaint and comfortable. Good food, good service, and affordable prices. Nice place to find Thai food and quiet enough to visit with company.

One of my favorite restaurants in DC!I have tried most of the menu & always enjoyed the meal with great atmosphere, good service and amazing real thai tastes. Dont miss out Royal thai!
