Always good food, with good service. My lunch companion said her soup was really yummy. The bread pudding with candied pecans was awesome.

Great local spot to get a quality meal. It’s my go to dinner spot whenever I’m in town for work.

Best french fries in town!!! LOVE the seared tuna wrap or the salmon sandwich. Always fresh and that Asian slaw is amazing! Very attentive staff

I actually loved the Royal Scam the atmosphere is great, the food is very good! The couple of times I've been there the customer service has been good but on yesterday the customer service was not welcoming! I felt like I wasnt welcome nor belonged. I went for lunch then walked around a little downtown then went back for a couple of drinks with a group of my girlfriends soon as we walked in for drinks the host grabbed my gf by her arm and asked, "Do you need a table" as if we were trying to just come in to use the restroom without being a customer which was not true because we were heading to the bar! I understand it was mardi Gras and ppl may try to come use the restroom with out being paying customers but as we were sitting waiting to be served I sat and watched so many ppl walked in and weren't treat the way we were! It saddens me that I've spent a lot of money earler that day and the the previous times I've been there and was treated like we weren't welcomed!

The gumbo was amazing!!! Food was delicious. One thing our family would want to see, a vegetarian option. Our waitress was amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and different foods available. Always have daily specials.

Made reservations for the patio and everything was as expected, if not even better. Great ambiance. Great service. Great meal. Great location. Great prices. Everyone in our party was very pleased. We look forward to coming back.

Cool place near Hilton hotel. Nice ambience, broad food selection, minimal desert selection, local craft beer on tap. Wait staff is very attentive. The steak was cooked to correct temperature.

The service at The Royal Scam restaurant is over the top. Kara treated us like we were the only patrons, and took our order in a friendly and conversational way; I was actually amazed how she remembered it all. She cheerfully stayed late because we arrived into town near closing time. I had the boudin balls, the Scam (tenderloin) Sandwich, a Deacon Blue, and a chocolate creme brulee. Anyone who has never had chocolate creme brulee is truly an unfortunate soul. The Royal Scam sets the bar quite high on this dessert. The sandwich was also delicious. The meat was so tender and savory. It seems silly to rate french fries considering how fancy the food is at The Royal Scam, but they are top notch. And yes, the restaurant and Deacon Blue cocktail names were inspired by the Steely Dan songs.

This place is always good. Crab cakes are great. The filet is always perfect. Even the asparagus is grilled properly. And that’s hard to do. Drinks are stout. And just a great little place in Mobile.
