Good, but not amazing. Staff was friendly, and prompt. Menu has a decent selection and appetizers where a little lack luster. Overall not a bad experience, but did not amaze.

Absolutely love this place. I always end up going here for a group dinner or a team event. Love the concept of the hot lava stone rock. Great place to visit with friends and family

Cool ambiance and nice outdoor patio. Good happy hour deals and their happy hour is nice and long from 2-7pm, though the menu is pretty limited. I tried a friend's bourbon smash cocktail and it was strong! Happily they did not skimp on the alcohol. Fairly prompt and friendly service as well. Only came for drinks, but definitely want to go back to try a lava rock steak sometime.

I love happy hour at Rok. Crab dip is a must. Be sure to ask for extra crostinis. The California chicken sandwich is very good and spicy. There is a rotating seasonal IPA section every month or two. Cioppino is new addition to their menu and it is served in a hot stone pot. Ask for a side of pasta or crostinis to pair with your cioppino.

The deal is, they send you out a seared but otherwise uncooked steak on a very hot slab of rock. You cut off a piece, cook the raw edges for 5-10 seconds a side, and eat. The staff explain it all beforehand, so you don't need to feel intimidated. And it was an *exceptionally* good steak, one of the best I've had. The sides (garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables) were delicious. Try it.

Really great place for a good steak cooked exactly as you wish (because you cook it yourself)! I have eaten there alone, in a small group and I took over 50 people there on a training camp and every time it has been a great experience.

The food was excellent. Our server was great! The only thing that would've earned a perfect 5 stars was if we hadn't been part of a massive (6+ vehicle) break-in while enjoying our dinner. This is not the first time this has happened right outside the restaurant and the only thing that the businesses are doing is putting a sign by the door that we didn't see until afterward. Again, everything inside the restaurant was phenomenal, but the location is hurting my decision to come back unless I Uber or Lyft.

Came in with a small group from work and ordered the Rok Fillet. It's one of their signature dishes. It comes as a mostly raw fillet, seared on the top and bottom, and served on a super hot 8" square volcanic rock slab (reportedly over 700 degrees). You cut the fillet into smaller pieces and cook them on the hot rock slab yourself. Cut a few pieces, cook them on one side, turn them over a few times to get them they way you like. Put them on your plate first or eat from the "Rok" directly. As you go along, you also have to turn the Fillet to avoid cooking too much on one side as well. It's a fun adventure if you're up for doing all that yourself while eating and talking over dinner. The steak is delicious and should end up perfectly cooked. Even after your done, the rock slab is still ready for more, so be careful!I reccommend it to anyone wantich awesome food with a fun twist.

Fantastic steakhouse, nothing better than slicing off pieces of an amazing steak and grilling them yourself fresh on the volcanic rock. Always make it a point to visit here when I come to CA.

The Rok weekday lunch deal is definitely good bang for the buck. My coworkers and I like to come here from time to time. It’s more than filling, tasty, and a cool dining experience. If you’ve never eaten/cooked off the rock, it’s definitely worth checking out. The chocolate fondue with the dippers is great, too.

Pretty good but the flat bread was served cold and steaks are a bit pricey for the size. Over all cool presentation and fun experience.

Liked the 700 degrees rock concept. The chimichurri portobello and mushroom was a fine vegetarian option. Could use better ventilation as it gets very smoky once it gets crowded.I recommend reservations as, even on week nights, it gets pretty crowded because of the hotel that's right nextdoor.

Great stakes and good service, the unique thing is that you decide how to cook your own steak bite after bite. Medium rare, medium, well done... It depends on you. I tried the wagyu, super tender but the I prefer the rich taste of Angus. A good choice around Milpitas
