Wow. All I can say is WOW! The quest for an nice hidden place to enjoy nice Japanese bar cuisine has been completed! This Izakaya only seated a few people almost like the back alley places in Japan! New York is notorious for having amazing eats and speakeasy. If you want to get away with a small group or just a date or even just yourself, you will really enjoy the vibe from the music down to the service. #win

This place was great. It really felt like we were back in Japan in a quaint pub. We ordered tons of drinks and had lots of finger foods to go with it. I'd also like to add that the music was excellent, Lee Morgan, Muddy Waters, and lots of other American classics. The sushi was surprisingly good as well. I would recommend this place for a double date.

Small, quiet, and unpretentious bar with interesting Japanese snack choices. Try the ika rings which are like onion rings except with squid.

intimate atmosphere, really friendly staff and the feeling of authenticity. I didn't eat here but will next time, great selection of Japanese drinks. Go for it.

Service was lackluster. Too many stipulations for a large group. Ramen wasn't worth it.

atmosphere is cozy, casual and a little offbeat. excellent (and creative!) small plates. the miso brussels and hamachi in particular are top-notch!

This place was pretty close to what I expected: a down to earth Japanese establishment where I can have drinks and fried Japanese foods that go well with those drinks. Their food did exactly what was needed. Beer was cold.

Great little hidden spot for drinks tasty food and helpful staff.
