Roberto's Pizza Cafe

Staff are moody at this location and the food is just okay...fair. I must say this location is better than the East Orange location, specifically Brick Church Plaza as it is much cleaner. I guess that speaks to respect or lack thereof for the community/location. Roberto's Pizza chain has been around for years in various areas in Essex County. Service and quality is not what it once was... Not sure if they are under the same ownership but something definitely needs to be done about the Brick Church Plaza location over all. Back to the subject at hand. We used to really love their food (Franklin Plaza Roberto's), now not so much, especially when dealing with rude and moody staff.

Not impressed at all. Expensive, ($2.00 for Xtra cheese, PER SLICE!! So 1 slice with extra cheese comes in at $4.00 ). They also got order wrong. We ordered 2 extra cheese and they made and charged for 2 cheese and 1 plain. That's why it was nearly $10 bucks for two (3 I guess) slices. No drinks. Oh well. Moving on, the slices were OK.... Just.... OK. It was pizza if you were looking for any pizza, but if you are looking for decent pizza, go elsewhere. Lots of dough flavor, not so much pizza flavor. Cheese was ABSOLUTELY a ripoff (at $2). It was more of an extra sprinkle rather than a cheesy slice.The restaurant was at least clean, but the bathroom is halfway to a rest stop bathroom. At least it was mostly clean, though I wouldn't sit in it or do more than wash my hands. I'd rather hold it (and I'm a dude)Overall, don't think I'll be coming back here ever again. Not even worth a second chance.

Food was great as always. The whole pies taste better ordering a slice though.

the pizza is good . but when i ordered cheese fries and got them i was confused of what i was handed (suppose to be cheese fries) i refused to eat those fries NEVER ORDER CHEESE FRIES !!! and the staff is rude !!!

Just not a fan of the pizza . Service was good and my order was ready fast. The pizza is not bad. But not the way I like it

This place doesn't have air conditioner at all.I went there with my daughter to eat dinner and We couldn't breath, because too hot.I and my daughter don't understand "WHY"-"NO A.C.", when was almost 100 °F outside. We never and ever go there again."TERRIBLE, AWFUL.

Called 5 times and no one answered. Walked in and it was empty and the guy is texting. Asked the lady for my slices and there was no greeting or communication she just turned to the guy that was texting and tell him something in Spanish. Then proceeds to roll her eyes and do it herself. How do you run a successful business when you have no customer service. And you lose out on business when you don't answer the phone. Lesson learned. Hope you improve your service if you want to actually make money. And maybe tell your employees to wash their hands before handling food. HORRIBLE
