Walked in thinking of another restaurant and not knowing that Sakagura has taken over the space. Sweet surprise I would say. Sakagura is one of my fav midtown resto but I like hanging out at LES so this is great. I went in 15 mins before early bird special dinner menu closed so I got the Negitoro set and my buddy got the Kaisen assorted set. Both are delicious and the crunchy seaweed to roll the sushi/rice onto it are fun and added umami to the dishes. I ordered Kumo styled sake and it’s a great paired as it has a clear, slight sweet and smooth taste. The cap of the night is the green tea tiramisu which oh oh oh so darn good. I want to eat three more of it except my belly can’t handle it anymore 😸I would definitely come back again and try out the other menu.

A lovely new Sakagura location! Great food options, especially the happy hour hand roll rice bowl combos! The Kani chawanmushi and the Kaisen steamed rice were also delicious. Great happy hour sake too

One of the most adorable places I've been in East Village, food is amazing, atmosphere makes you feel as if you are in Japan. Ordered salmon steak, very tender, their special dessert is a Japanese teramisu, mild and tasty.Being in this place makes you wanna stay longer and enjoy your meal.
