A really fantastic coffee, best I had in Tokyo with delightful and friendly staff. I'll need to come back to Tokyo just to visit this place again!

Excellent coffee and the atmosphere was very familiar. The staff was also very nice, she could speak a little English and gave me and a friend a good recommandation for the coffee. The prices are also not to high.

As good as any milk-based espresso as I’ve had back home in Australia and definitely the best coffee I’ve had in Japan.

Roar is a small coffee house just off the busy roads of 日本橋 and 京橋. It’s a very warm and welcoming place and don’t be fooled by the doors making it seem like it’s closed. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, they do speak a little English and have an English menu, so you’ll be fine if you don’t speak much Japanese. The most famous item on the menu is the cafe latte rainbow art drink, which is a sight to behold. I personally don’t like sweet coffee, but this one is worth getting just to enjoy. I also got the standard flat white, Ethiopian blend, which was very delicious. My fellow travellers got the paninis (chicken and sweet) and they said they were extremely tasty. Overall, this place is a wonderful getaway spot or an early start if you’re wanting to go Takashimaya.
