R'Mony Restaurant & Lounge

Absolutely love this Haitian resturant! The food is amazing, well seasoned. Especially the djon djon (black rice) available Friday-Sunday. The outward appearance is like a "hole in a wall" but iside is really nice. The portions are very "generous" :)

Been in ATL area for some time now, originally from South FL and have to say it reminds me a lot like the Haitian restaurants down south. Had the griot(fried pork chunks), tassot cabriot( fried goat chunks), Legume (beef w/vegs) and had the diri jon jon (black rice) all are official. Also they have some cool combos so if you want to try a few of those combinations like above they really will get you some value. For ex griot, tassot, and legume as a combo as of 08/12/2014 with rice and plantains was about $25. Also family that runs the place are nice ppl y'all should give it a try. I usually take mine to go so call ahead so you can have it ready when you arrive.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The quality of food does NOT override the service, or lack thereof. After calling in an order half an hour in advance and waiting an additional 20 minutes only to find out our payment could not be processed due to owner/manager negligence, was beyond frustrating. But an additional 30 minute wait without so much as an apology for the inconvenience leaves this place seriously lacking. Gloomy atmosphere, dirty bar area only further my disappointment with this establishment. Again, if I could give this place zero stars, I would.

The food and service was Superb!!! I went for the first time yesterday and was very pleased. I'm Afro-American and my daughter is American/Haitian and we are very hard to please when it comes to good Haitian food, I was not disappointed and this will be my new spot! Don't let the Decor and location scare you away.

Best Authentic HAITIAN Restaurant in Atlanta!!

This is the worst place to go! The food rating is an 87 B, the restaurant is sketchy the minute you pull up. No alcohol sales, and the you could tell the food was not fresh and the owner was out of almost everything we wanted to order. Worst of all, that night I woke up with intense diarrhea after eating the goat. Save yourself a sick day from work and do not go here!

I visited R'Mony's for dinner on the night of 01/23/14. I was hesitant at first because the parking lot was empty, but after reading reviews I decided to give it a try. This place has plenty of potential. The food is really good. I ordered the shrimp creole and my friend ordered the stewed chicken. You get a large serving, so plan on taking a box home. There's not much around this place, so the location makes it easy to miss and look over. It's worth a try and deserves more support. Hopefully next time I eat here, more people are aware and the lounge environment is in full effect.

I went to so many places in Atlanta but this place is so special and you feel so confortable when you are there. They are really taking good care of you.

I'm updating my review, very nice owner. Food is OK or (Maybe it was I order). Give it them try. But the black rice was on point. My First time there, not bad.
