Not what I expected from a so-called "authentic" Italian Pizzaria

Typical NYC pizzeria with a nice selection of food

Maybe they do serve the best pizza in the city, maybe they don't. The girl with nose rings at the counter could not be bothered to explain why anyone should pay almost $20 for a slice.

Crispy, tasty, loved the margarita pizza! Also so great for gluten and dairy intolerant folks

Decent thin crust pizza, but doesn't stand out in any way. Great service though.

Really excellent! Staff is great, quick and the pizza was quality. No wait on a Friday which was nice too ;) the Burrata salad is a dream.

To the previous review, this pizza place is sister location from Astoria which is very famous for their small square slices. Putting a one star review for a vegan anything from here is like going to Peter Luger and putting a bad review for their salad. The five stars is for their Astoria location I have not been to this location yet

Best pizza I had while in NYC! The crust is so light and crispy but fluffy on the inside, soooo good. Tried both the square and triangle pizza but the square (buffalo chicken) was simply amazing. They also have a cute wine bar next door which looked great for a date night but we didn’t get a chance to check it out. Definitively recommend Rizzo’s if you’re in the lower east side and are looking for a good pizza joint.

Me and my boyfriend came here to try their pizza with vegan cheese since my boyfriend is sensitive to dairy products. My boyfriend had a thin crust pizza with numu "cheese" and I had their loaded garlic knots. I tried 2 slices of his pizza as well. Once we left, and my boyfriend got home, he immediately threw up. Later that night, I threw up as well and realized we both got FOOD POISONING from this place. It lasted 2 days and was the worst food poisoning both of us have ever had. We then talked to the Dept. of Health about our symptoms. Never going here again obviously. It was a horrible experience and I am still experiencing effects from this weeks later.

I honestly think Rizzo's has the best sauce in all of New York City. Rizzo's round slice is a classic, even though their square slice is their traditional since 1959. It's also worth trying their aumma aumma. If you stop in, make sure to tell them that Bobs Pizza Tour sent you! They have both a slice shop and a restaurant side with a bar serving wine and beer.
