Riverfront Taproom

This restaurant was a bit of a surprise. Sitting right next to the Big Blue River in Shelbyville Indiana is a beautiful, spacious, clean restaurant, Riverfront Taproom. We eat out everyday and it is a rarity to find a restaurant that is clean, well staffed with quality servers and also has good food. Riverfront Taproom has all three. If you're traveling on I-74 exit at State Road 9 and go south across the railroad tracks and then the bridge over the Big Blue River in immediately on the Northside of State Road 9 East of the river you will see the restaurant. This would be a handy and enjoyable place to dine if you were traveling. UP DATE: We had lunch here today and it was terrible we ordered three items and two of the three were wrong. It'll be a long time before we return, one of the saddest restaurants in Shelbyville as far as I'm concerned.

We went to the Riverfront Taproom just for dessert. We ordered the tabletop s'mores and elephant sticks. They actually took the time to go to the nearest gas station to get a Hershey's bar so we could have the tabletop s'mores. They also comped our meals because we had to wait on them which wasn't necessary but we are extremely grateful and highly recommend this restaurant! The service is fantastic!!!

Finally took a chance, despite the scathing reviews regarding their service and was definitely impressed. The owners have recently replaced their entire waitstaff so please be patient with the new staff because the atmosphere and the food are worth a little patience with the staff. Our food came out perfectly and in decent time. Please give it a try!
