Yum! This is an authentic New York deli. I've been to Carnegie Deli in Manhattan and this place takes me right back! Good hearty soups and sandwiches done right. You gotta visit this place 👍🏽

My sandwich was recommended to me by what I can only describe as a sandwich man who also recommended I put rubber bands on my socks. I expected another run of the mill deli sandwich but to date I've never had anything as good from a deli. I wish I could come back it was so good.

Ordered the Chicago style Italian Beef. I'm three bites into it and I love it! The owner provides the charm and the the atmosphere.

An authentic New York deli (the owner is a New Yorker), the River Street Deli is an excellent place to eat, or carry out to the nearby park or river walk. Service was prompt, and the owner himself told us about the day's special, a delicious turkey bacon melt. My spouse had the Elana Ruz...a bizarre but tasty concoction of turkey, strawberry jam and cream cheese served on panini bread. They had a selection of soups and sides available as well, with the special soup of the day already sold out when we got there. We will definitely return.

Amazing place. Consistently one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Also, they have a great selection of unique chips and drinks.

Michelle makes the best sandwiches in town. She always, can tell you about anything on the menu! When I'm unsure of what I want, she always steers me in the right direction.

I was driving back to Memphis from a weekend retreat in Georgia. This place was suggested to us. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was probably the best chicken salad sandwich I've had in a while. I got the oatmeal raisin cookie and it was alright for the price. It tasted like the dough had been freezer burned. Sandwiches run about $9, chips are $1.25, big cookies are $1.50, and water is free. There was no wait, the tables were clean, and the sandwich was great. If I'm passing through Chatt again I will definitely go back.

I had the turkey with brie and honey mustard. So unique and SO good. The sassy man taking orders was fun and the place had that simple, family run look to it. Will definitely eat here again.

Clearly the best sandwich experience I had. Just a nice place to find. I want to go back to try the other specialties they have.

Unfathomably good. Next level customer service, my wife and I felt taken care of immediately were recommended the workers favorite options and it made the choice so easy, cause she was excited to offer us an experience rather than moving to the next customer. And come to find out, we were their last customers! Great service even at the end of the day. The ham and applebutter, and cheddar cheese toasted sandwich exploded in my mouth transcending centuries of culinary expertise. Generations of perfected craft melted in my mouth as my taste buds roared like a sold out stadium for a Coldplay concert. Apart from all this, the eclectic interior made me feel like I walked into aged character, as if I was the millionth customer yet part of a family. Bravo, Riverstreet Deli!

Visited on our way through to St. Louis. Tasty, fresh food and wonderful service. Great prices. Eat in or carry out. Gluten- free bread available. So glad we dropped in!

Long-time Chattanooga staple...New York style deli with great people and a proven menu. Fun, uber-casual atmosphere.
