The food was great. The service was fast. The place was clean and friendly. Perfect for date night!

We went there for Valentine's day. They opened at 5 pm and our reservation was for 5 pm. The staff and atmosphere were good. The limited menu was expected. However, my veal was tough and chewy. The knife would almost not cut it. My wife's gorgonzola crepe was prepared in advance and then warmed up. But, it was cold in spots and the cheese was not melted. Too many other Italian restaurants in the area to go back.

I have to say my food was excellent. However, Ristorante San Marcos is a very small space with more tables than there should be crammed into it. It is hot and noisy and frenetic. Several of our orders were mixed up. Salads never arrived. Dishes with potato and vegetable on the side had two bite-sized wedges of potato and three slices of vegetable. We asked about the paltry side dishes and the waitress apologized and brought a small platter of potatoes, which we were then charged $8 for. In the end, the bill got straightened out but the atmosphere was far from relaxing. I might try another visit off season and not at peak dinner time the experience was not

This is a beyond perfect stop. They offer a $12 lunch special and it is phenomenal. I got the soup, salad, and pasta combo. The portions were just the right amount, and they had delicious bread brought out to us while we waited. You can 100% tell the pasta is made in house. Everything is authentic, and the new owner greeted us and was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Our server, Johnathan, was exceptional! He was so friendly and informative on his recommendations. The ambiance was relaxing and intimate. Cute for a date night or a mid day lunch. Looking forward to coming back for a dinner one night. The owner bought the place a year ago, and is definitely taking it to the next level. Highly recommend !!!!

I made a reservation and asked for the table inside by the window. DONE! We had the most gracious server and the other servers, bus boy and manager were all at our table at least once. The SERVICE was outstanding. The bread sets the stage for a fantastic meal. I recommend the PEAR salad, delicious! We enjoyed stuffed chicken and fried lamb. The portions are very big. The chicken was the BEST I've ever had. No room for dessert but the cappuccino was perfect. Go, definitely go!

Great service and good food. Branzinno was expensive but very tasty but it came with minimal vegetables. With wine and a shared soup it was too much.

EXCELLENT SERVICE... Authentic foods prepared beautifully... Seafood looked fresh but had diarrhea the next day... Awful feeling for a great presentation...😥

Best Italian restaurant in southwest Florida period!!! Everything my wife and I had was delicious.We are from New York and this little restaurant is every bit as good as the Italian restaurants in New York

Fantastic old style italian eatery. This as well as their neighbor are well worth eating at. Reservations highly recommended.

We hadn't really planned on eating here but while we were looking at the menu outside we where convinced to give it a try by one of the employees. Had a $32 Savor Sarasota special. The banana peppers were the best I've ever had. Lasagna was very good with nice beef. Cannolli was really crunchy. All in all worth going to again.

We had a wonderful experience here. Our server was helpful, friendly and thoughtful. Because of the tight seating we interacted with other guests who were all delightful. The minestrone soup was just ok but all the other food the three of us ordered was outstanding and plentful.

If you’re missing authentic Italian coffee options this is the place to get them. Their espressos are made using the right beans/roast and prepared perfectly. The lunch we had here was spot on and their soup of the day was exactly what I’d have expected to eat in Italy.

Great restaurant. We ordered an appetizer and an entree and split them. Both were delicious. We met and chatted with new owner. A very nice man.
