Ideal for children. The negative floor is the entire area for children. The layout is reasonable, the space is spacious, and the lighting effect is very good! Service attitude is good! Rich books!

The interior renovation took a long time but it was worth it. Lots of staff able to help.

I love books, so of course I LOVE this library located centrally in Downtown Columbia. All of our libraries are being renovated and I've added pics of recent views of this library. There will be a Cafe opening soon and many areas to play chess and other board games, read, quiet visits, I even saw a young lady playing ping pong. 5+ stars!!

Each branch has AMAZING private nursing rooms. They are beautiful. The children's section at the Downtown branch is truly magical...a must visit. At the Downtown branch there is also a highly unused space on the 3rd floor designed for small children that is enclosed, furnished, and clean. There are computers and tables. A FANTASTIC place for a working parent!!! That is where I took the picture attached. Bring sanitary wipes for the toys and you are set. The Richland Library has thought of it all.
