Better than I expected! A lot of the animals roam free so you can get pretty close for some good photos. Lots of opportunities to interact, pet and feed some of the animals! So different!

It was awesome getting to interact with smaller animals in open exhibits but I noticed some of the larger animals like the puma, wolves, and bears looked to be in poor condition. They were pacing and the puma especially was thin. Enclosures appear to be too small and not enough enrichment provided to the animals. Please give them toys!It costs 1,800 yen per adult to enter and there are opportunities to buy snacks for the animals out of capsule machines for 100 yen each. The parrot exhibit was the best (it costed 300 yen each to enter).

Probably the best zoo for kids. There are a lot of interactions (patting, touching and feeding) and animal shows. My daughter took the horse ride too and enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend

I do not know the birthday discount, but when I purchase a convenience store advance ticket, I get a 10% discount. Also, when you go to the school, you can enter the park without lining up.
