Good menu! And good wine list!

Depending on the year it is more or less good. 2017 had a very good menu. 2018 was disappointing.

Absolutely love this summer destination!. Each bite delights and surprises. The lamb dish is a must-have, but everything we’ve tried is just simply delicious. Wines are nicely thought out and lovely. Parasol is a casual, laid-back summer gastronomic treasure!

McGill Students’ Culinary Society dined here.Tapas style Mexican influenced modern small plates. It sits about 20 people therefore reservation is recommended. Most of the dishes are done on the grill and they control the doneness of vegetables really well. Enjoyed the zucchini dish.

Interesting natual wine choices and the menu focuses on seasonal vegetables and seafood grills. Wait-staffs are friendly however the overall experience was a disappointment. There are some interesting combination for the dishes, however the portion size was too small for the price point and most annoyingly the food came out very slowly. It took us more than 2 hours to have 4 small plates thus the wait inbetween was just too long. The background music also became unbearably loud thatade conversation nearly impossible.

Like many of the places piping up in the plateau this cramped places has an over inflated sense if it's own ego they think that giving their ingredients fancy names will make up for the fact that it's really just small portions of lack luster food for outrages prices. Avoid!

If you want to impress with your mastery of Montreal "off the beaten path", invite your guests to Parasol. The restaurant is located in an open garage on an alley, just behind the "corn" (the same owner, the Parasol allows the chef to release the bridle to his creativity while corn offers more standard Mexican stuff).Open only in the summer, there is cooking (style "French under influence") not complicated and fresh, a little uneven (some things are pretty good, others less), but certainly worth it to be tried. The wine list is quite "fashionable".The portions are quite small for the price, so do not go there if you are starving or have an ogre appetite. On the other hand, it is perfect for the fallen in love who will chew between two sessions, by dreaming the eyes in the eyes ...

Fun place to be in the summer! I've brought multiple groups of friends here for two summers now, and everyone had delicious food and couldn't stop talking about the wine!
