Fantastic museum: a beautiful collection of course, but also very well setup and organised. Tours available, including family friendly ones. Friendly staff everywhere. A fantastic day out for the family. The website is pretty good too, with a virtual tour. Wonderful.

I think this museum is a world leader in user experience not to mention the collection of Dutch master's is and should be proudly displayed. The guided tour app was outstanding and the excursion in English was fun and engaging. The docents clearly are well educated and thoughtful in their delivery. Not to mention, the guided tour was complimentary! At the time I went, the rotating exhibit was a very great comparison between Dutch and Spanish painters around the same time. What a cultural delight!I truly wish every museum curator would look at what this museum is doing.

I really like this place..it's paintings, furniture and even jewellery you can learn a lot. it's maybe a good idea to plan ahead and decide what you want to see. to make it in one round can be too much but it depends how long you wish to stay.

Excellent Museum very people friendly, left coats and bags at cloakroom this made visit more comfortable. The famous Night Watch painting is undergoing some work so was difficult to view fully. Fully recommend a visit.

A truly great Museum of art. Mostly focused on Dutch masters from the 1600s onwards. There's also a collection of weapons and ship replicas on the lower floor. It doesn't seem that big but it takes more than a few hours, probably a day, to go in detail about every piece in exposition. I find the romantic pieces particularly interesting, of which there are several stunning ones.

I highly recommend the highlights tour that the Rijksmuseum offers. As a non-local, it is almost impossible to digest a museum this size on a single visit and the tour gives you a way to see the things that you might have missed if you did it on your own. I also recommend going to the museum when it first opens. We did this and were able to see the Night Watch without any crowds around us. Within one hour, the Night Watch was packed.

An excellent selection of art from all over the world, including such key pieces as The Night Watch and Waterloo. Be sure to reserve at least 3 hours for this museum. And be sure to visit the seldomly missed statue collection in the basement - you will not be disappointed!

What’s not to love ?? It’s incredible!!Tips to visitors- download the app before you visit and bring your own headphones to play the “for time efficient “ tour . Still takes about 4 hours... wear comfortable shoes ! They have lockers you can store your personal items In as well which I found very helpful. Lots of knowledgeable staff everywhere. Take your time and enjoy these spectacular works of art and history ! My favorite was the custom doll house that was made using real wood, marble, silk and porcelain.

So much to see in this museum. First of all, ticket lines get pretty long inside. I found a stand right outside of the museum near the food area that sold tickets for thee same price without any line. There’s a ton of things to do right outside of the museum. The area itself is really cute. The line getting into the museum was very fast. Be prepared to walk ! The museum has multiple levels, and every level is a different theme to see. The elevators are the slowest ever ! So be prepared to walk the stairs. You must see the library inside. It’s so beautiful ! Give yourself some time because I it will take a bit to see it all. They have a cafe inside for small snacks and drinks. Small tip: try to use the bathroom before you get inside. The bathroom is at the bottom and the line is the longest line you will wait in throughout yOur Amsterdam trip.

A world-famous museum with an immense number rooms full of artifacts and paintings. Walking through the Gallery of Honour leading to Rembrandt's The Night Watch was a favorite highlight of my visit. It is one of the top attractions in Amsterdam, and is definitely a must-see for all visitors.

Excellent and varied collection, it's a must see in the Netherlands. It is a huge museum, almost impossible to see properly in a day, so do reserve several hours for it. There are some seating areas in the galleries but not that often; highly recommend comfortable shoes. Quite expensive (20 euros) but free with the Dutch Museum Card. The audio tour was extra.

Stunning building and museum, situated in museum square in Amsterdam. Easy to get to on the tram and plenty of other museums close by. This one's a big one though and if you want to take your time appreciating some of the incredible displays then you're going to need a good part of your day dedicated to this one spot.

A genuinely excellent museum. Them Dutch folk sure knew how to paint. The entry is expensive, yes, but it's totally worth it and I would happily do it again. Both the artworks and the building are outstanding and the app is the best thing I have ever used at a museum, don't bother going without it. Bring some headphones.

It was one of the most exciting museum experiences in my life.Started tour in the morning and finished at the end of the day. That was obviously too much, but thanks to museum's cafe, you can take a break and continue discovering wonderful art pieces in museum.❤️ Strongly recommend to visit this museum in Amsterdam and don't run through the exhibits looking for famous ones. There are plenty of paintings that are not so well known and are just magnificent.
