Red Vault Bistro

Absolutely amazing. I took my friend for her birthday. We had the cheese tray, the house salad which had mandarin oranges with French vinaigrette, the Cesar had fresh anchovies the the creamiest Cesar dressing. We had the grilled ribeye and the grilled lamb chips with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Sublime. We had a great visit with the owner Elizabeth. This place is a must and is worth the drive from Austin to Flatonia.

Our first time experience at Red Vault Bistro was exquisite. The dinner selections were unique with lively flavors, our entres where the Grilled Smoked Rib-Eye with Horseradish Sauce, the Filet Mignon in Gorgonzola Sauce, and the Chicken Marsala. The hosts was exceptionally professional in describing in more details the menu! I highly recommend this place if you’re nearby!! By the way, their Chocolate Lava cake was unforgettably amazing!!!

Exceptionally delicious food, even the ordinary, hamburger and fries, done perfectly and with the best ingredients. The wild mushroom ravioli is heavenly.

We have been coming here for dinner for aleast five years (which is always a wonderful experience!). We were finally able to stop by for lunch and it was everything we expected! Elizabeth is a gracious hostess and Gabriel is always an amazing chef! My husband had the daily special, braised beef, while our guest and I had cheeseburgers. All were excellent!

Traveling cross country in an RV strong winds forced us to abandon the highway and search for food. What a SURPRISE, the Red Vault Bistro in little bitty Flatonia Texas has food worth being a destination regardless of where you live. Enjoy!

This place is incredible! The food and atmosphere were awesome. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, even the patrons felt comfortable mingling! Best wine ever!

The ambience is wonderful, Elizabeth is most gracious and Chef Gabriel is the bomb. He is French and a European trained Master Chef and his dishes are pure magic. It was the “best” steak I have ever eaten. Exceptional and although it is off the beaten path, it adds to its charm. Well worth the trip. It is the real deal.
