Red Hibiscus Caribbean Cuisine

Came here with my husband and two little girls. I got the jerk chicken with macaroni and cheese and rice and beans. My husband got the curry chicken with yams and plantains. Everything was hot and delicious! The jerk chicken was slightly spicy and very tender. My husband was a little surprised that the curry chicken was wings, but it was still absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

I am so in love with this place! The oxtails are wonderful, the lime jerkin shrimp is also to die for!

Cute little Caribbean spot, here in the heart of Oceanview. As an OV resident I was happy to see a Caribbean restaurant in this area. I always crave west indie food and it’s nice to have something local. Food was great!! One of the most authentic I’ve had in the area so far. Moderate pricing and decent portions. Very friendly staff. I think the theme of the red hibiscus throughout the restaurant is super cute. I’ll definitely be back! My only suggestion is to put rice and peas under the jerk shrimp. You can stand out if you don’t skimp on the portions. Other restaurants in the area are infamous for that, so it would be nice to have full, hearty portions.

Food is amazing! Had a taste of the Turkey Burger and the jerk chicken. Try the mac n' cheese and the cabbage. Just a heads up, the jerk chicken was a little spicy but bearable.

It has been a long time since I had curry goat! The place is quaint. They serve Caribbean food here. No alcoholic beverages are served. The food was great and filling. I will definitely be back for more.

Excellent straightforward little corner restaurant. No frills decor but the FOOD is definitely something to write home about. I've been twice now and both times I and my fellow diners left stuffed and very happy. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor, comes out piping hot every time. My brother is vegan and when he asked about accomodations the chef came out and personally discussed a custom dish to suit his dietary preferences. Will be supporting this unique local restaurant as long as it stays!

Come to OV for the Taste of the islands.some wonderful Caribbean food. Just opened the Red Hibiscus has a warmth about it. Nice food portions and they have selections for kids. There was a steady stream of customers for both dine in as well as takeout. I will be back soon

Nothing fancy. Excellent customer service. Food is to order so dont be in a rush. I orders small red snapper, mac and cheese and cabbage. I snapper and cabbage I would order again however I did not care for the mac and cheese. This place has good potential

The food was good, I ordered the mango and pork salad for takeout. It was a little heavier on the black pepper than I expected but I enjoyed it! The lettuce was a spring mix, ripe mangoes, and great dressing. It had a great flavor!I read some complaints that dine-in is served with plastic ware. Since they just opened I imagine that they might will change that later on. The staff was super nice and enthusiastic. I'll be trying them again soon! I love that you can see the bay from their door, it would be nice to have a bistro table or two outside when the weather is good. I would recommend fencing/blocking off the grill area since the parking lot is small. I wouldn't want someone to back into it. I paid by card, they had some issues using the square and had to trade cellphones. I didn't mind since it was their first or second week but I would recommend a more "formal register" such as a tablet or the square reader that comes on a stand.

Want something local so we Went in last night for dinner.. Outstanding presentation! Great flavor! Large portions! Welcoming staff! For a family of five it's a bit on the $$ side. Food is prepared to order so don't expect dishes in 5mins. Give this place a try!

Solid flavor and great service. Stopped by after enjoying some Jet Skiing across the street at Great White Watersports. The food was tasty with decent portions of meat, but the rice portion was small. I imagine most would prefer this way, but I'm a big rice eater. Service was very accommodating and I will return. They just opened so not everything is on the menu yet. Cant wait to see the place a year from now. Hoping the flavor and quality remain

Delish! We got the ox tails, cabbage and mac n cheese & the curry chicken, yams and mac n cheese. The yams were off the chain! The ox tail and chicken are equally delicious; the prices are also very reasonable. I will be back! 😊
