Live nearby to this place. I think it is by far the best breakfast place in town. I like the competitors too, but the ingredients in the food here seem to be of the highest quality, flavor combinations are amazing, and the service is great. Would be even better if they accepted cards instead of cash only, but they do offer take out which I just learned about.

One of my top 5 spots, love this place, staff is friendly, professional, engaging and the food OMG food is great. To all my friends visiting the Grand Rapids, MI area please experience the REAL FOOD CAFE you will not be disappointed.

Good place for breakfast. The food has always been really good. Unfortunately, our service has been slow 1 or 2 times. With 1 of the times being that it took 20 minutes, after we were seated, for the waitress to come to our table get our drink orders. But, all of the other times we've gone have been great. It would be nice if it was not a cash only place but it's not a huge deal, with there being an ATM on site.

First time here. Very clean and organized. Staff was very friendly and easy on the eyes. It is a busy, bustling business but comfortable. Food was absolutely delicious. Get the corned beef hash. The best I've ever had.

Is this place real? Yes. I only leave honest reviews. Let me tell you how good this sausage gravy is. 😍😍 Thick American fries. The toaster actually toasts both sides. The wait wasn't long, maybe 20 minutes on a Saturday. Fresh iced tea. Loose sugar for you coffee drinkers. Napkins at my table. APPLE BUTTER packets at my table along with traditional strawberry, grape, and orange marmalade. Kitchen looked clean, and free of smoke/ fire damage. There are a lot of families here, too. Large waiting area, so you probably don't have to stand. Went to pay, they don't take credit cards. They told me there is a bank across the street or an ATM in the back. 😥😥

I love Real Food so much. Their pancakes are huge and delicious. The scrambles and omelets are amazing. Even the coffee is very good! The price is right. I only wish they took credit cards, but I understand why they don't. Make sure you have cash on you! You will not regret coming here.

Love the atmosphere and the food! Very popular, but worth the wait time. Had the breakfast Monte Cristo...so yummy!

By far one of my favorite GR breakfast places. Everything I've tried is delicious... Banana foster waffles, home style fries, California eggs Benedict. Only downfall is that the restuarant is very small, and there's always a wait on the weekend.

Real Food is a hidden jewel in a neighborhood off the beaten path. A choice breakfast destination when we have guests visiting from out of the area. Food portions are generous for a very fair price. Very good food with nice variety and quality ingredients well prepared and good service. Cash only so be prepared. Get there early if you can to avoid waiting; However, if you have to wait, the wait is worth it.

Comfort food at its best!!We ordered the Monster omelet, the Philly skillet and the Nutella French toast and it was devoured withing no time, that's how tasty it was!! This is our “Sunday place.” There’s usually a wait before you’re seated but they rotate people out rather quickly and we’ve never waited more than 30 minutes for a seat. And the food is so good. Our all time favorite place to go out and eat. Especially for breakfast 😍

Tiny place. Delicious food. Watch your food being cooked in front of you. The Montecristo is the best thing there in my opinion, but everything is damn good.

Super busy all the time. Makes it hard for us to want to keep coming back. Good food and service is good tho.

Had an amazing breakfast with my best friend and every bite was delicious. To start, we split a giant cinnamon roll, which they make themselves. Could have stopped there, but I'm glad I didn't. I had a Westsider scramble with Polish sausage, onions green pepper, two cheeses, tomato and home fries. Huge and delicious! I took the last third home. My friend Tom had the Tuesday morning Special which is available every day! Eggs, sausage (or ham), bacon and french toast (or pancakes). He finished his! The food is outstanding and so is the service. It's always busy, but it's worth a short wait on the weekend.

My favorite breakfast restaurant in the area. Everything on their menu is delicious. They can do no wrong.
