Ramen Mutsumiya Yokosuka Base

"Red door ramen" did not disappoint. I arrived with 1 hungry husband just off from duty, 1 hyperactive 6 year old and 1 whiny 4 year old expecting a cramped restaurant with no seating and bracing myself for social discomfort. I was so relieved to find tables capable of seating a whole family, menus in English and friendly staff! Things just went up from there. We ordered kitano-megumi ramen with egg, spicy ramen with egg, shrimp fried rice, gyoza, a side of corn and 2 marinated eggs(the last 2 items were my 4 year olds meal because, toddlers🙄). It was all delicious! If you are looking for a great ramen place to take a bigger group, this is it!

I miss this place! The Kita no megumi ramen with extra corn and butter was my favorite. Get the gyoza, you'll thank me. I haven't found anything like it in the US. I may need to take a trip back to Japan to hit up all my favorite restaurants!

Worth a try, and inexpensive - 3 of us for around $23. They have half bowls, but only salt or soy sauce flavor. I thought the soy sauce flavor was ok, I'd come back to try Spicy. Cozy atmosphere and clean.

Phenomenal ramen and fried rice

It’s close to the base which makes it a decent stop for ramen but I’ve had better. The one guy that works there though seems quite grumpy every time I go there though. Either way it is still decent and would recommend it if you are looking for something quick and close.

they have an English menu. they have a deal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. where you can get a large bowl of noodles with your Ramen or a bowl of rice for free. I have tried about half of their Ramen selection and we'll continue to go here. it gets a little busy around noon so you might want to show up a little bit early.

Decent ramen with quick service. Better to go a couple blocks up the street to black door ramen. Much better ramen.

They sell soup to Americans. It's not bad soup, it just lacks anything to make one say, "Wow, This is Outstanding Soup!" Ok soup.

Great place for fried rice. Ramen is ok

One of my favorite ramen joints in Japan. Definitely would put it in my top 5 for sure, the milk based broth ramen is definitely my go to when I visit here. The portion sizes are quite large for the price and they have fresh jugs of water at every table to refill yourself. The servers speak decent enough English, and the menus have an English variant. Considering how close this is to the main gate, it's well worth the visit at least once, and then you'll be hooked.

Right outside CFAY main gate, one of the few places with a milk base ramen. Also some of the best fried rice in the area.
