Puempel's Olde Tavern

No trip to New Glarus is complete without a visit to Puempel's Olde Tavern. The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly, and the owner is more than willing to tell you all about the history of this classic pub if you catch him there. Most everything in the location remains from the original Swiss owners including four murals painted on the walls in the early 1900s. Puempel's is another location that will make your visit to New Glarus unforgettable.

Visiting from England UK and on one of our day trips came across this lovely little place decided to have lunch and couldn’t fault the food, great service and very polite staff, hoping to come back over in July/August and will definitely be coming back here

Awesome vibe... had a great sandwich. Barkeeper was a good fella .... very clean.. service was quck... great story about the place itself and the Brunswick bar made in 1893.
