Outstanding! The complexity and creativity of flavors made thia one of the best meals of our week visit to New York. The staff was friendly ans welcoming. We visited for my father in laws birthday dinner and they went out of their way to make it special. 10/10 recommend!

Very small restaurant with big tasty food. I like the mussels. Super delicious. I like the fish dishes. Very fresh, without the smelly seafood taste. The drinks were a good size. We ordered the bloody marys. One of the best that I have had. Service was excellent. The brunch is good.

Great, but tough to get seated for weekend brunch. And cramped.

We had a great brunch in July. Staff here clearly love what they do as well.

Hands down best brunch in NYC! My husband and I were on a quest to find the best Bloody Mary and we found it!! It was super busy, but we snagged bar seats. The bartender was fabulous and the drinks were so well balanced. To top it off, we got a Red stripe beer back! For mains, I got the fried oyster omelette. The oysters were fried to perfection and the omelette was delicate and soft. The spicy sauce with the powder sugar gave you that sweet/spicy sensation and I kept digging in for more. My husband had the sausages and oysters. The tomato sauce was a warm hug and the lamb sausage was so tender and flavorful that I had to order a side order. As an avid Top Chef fan, I didn’t even know it was Ashley’s restaurant until I was there and recognized her! Now I love the place even more knowing that there is a badass female chef that owns it! We will definitely be back!

Another must-do in NY. Tiny restaurant with simple, classic flavors. Boisterous atmosphere.

Chef-owner Gabrielle Hamilton is a legend, and her charming East Village staple endures as a favorite for downtown food lovers.

Cute atmosphere over priced Bland soul less food, was the last party of the night definitely felt rushed after they turned the music so loud as we got ready to finish. Being from nyc I passed up on this place many times and now I know why. I'm disappointed in Ashley merriman cooking

God I loved this place- lived on the very same block back in 2003- a different time with The Elephant, Chez ez Saada, the actual Hells Angels, and Prune was just perfect.

Rude manager with an attitude! Never again will I return, particularly when there are so many high quality restaurants in NYC with wonderful service!

Dinner at Prune was an interesting experience. The staff was great & polite and very prompt with bring out the appetizers, sides and the main course. The food was filling & beyond my expectations :) The brussels sprouts were the best in sides that I had. The whole Branzino was great. Cons: There was a 15-20 min wait prior to being seated & I was there 15 mins early. This place is crowded!! Its a really small yet cozy place. Its not meant for large groups (more than 4 ppl is large) due to minimal walking & moving between tables. I knocked over 2 drinks of another patron by just trying to make my way to the restroom. Felt rushed regardless being delayed in being seated.

This used to be my favorite brunch restaurant in SoHo and it made me so sad to see it is closed during COVID. Recently Google maps changed its status from Temporarily Closed to Open in mornings and evenings. This morning, I planned a trip here but it wasn’t open.(at least in the hours Google said it will be open on the morning) I should’ve called the restaurant to confirm they were actually open. Don’t make the same mistake!
