Prost!

Had a decent lunch here. Beer was great, corned beef sandwich was good, spaetzel was surprisingly mediocre/bad. It was way too oily and tasted like the oil instead of delicious carb bombs. Disappointing since spaetzel is normally a favorite of mine.

I enjoyed Prost purely for their German beer selection. It's almost October and I was in the mood for Oktoberfest style beer. They did not disappoint. I was able to sample a few brews before I made a selection and it was no problem. I enjoyed the fact that they had several German brews on tap including all the major German breweries one would find at a specialty liquor store as well as a few that maybe harder to find. My girlfriend is gluten free and the kitchen was able to whip up some reuben fries for us that were gf, which helped out a lot. We are looking forward to going back.

German beer, German food, in a large wooden table hall. Can be loud but great for a day of drinks and card/board games… watching sports on TV or drinking from a 2L boot with friends. Chicken tenders and pretzel are worthwhile. Only loses a star because strangely a large selection of beers were out of stock… otherwise would easily be 5/5

Found this restaurant while in Chicago visiting my son. Had a neighborhood tavern feel to it. The wurst plate (brat, sauerkraut and spaetzle) was very good. The large pretzel is very big and good. I am from Germany and am always in search of a good German meal that I don’t have to cook. This was very close to the real deal. Staff was great too. Apologetic for a bit of a wait but he had a limited staff. It’s been a tough year for restaurants and we appreciate their efforts!

Atmosphere is awesome, but it can be very loudly at the weekend evening. I recommend sausages here.

Best German food I've had since I was in Germany!!! In fact our whole table agreed, it was even the BEST pretzel we had all had in our whole lives. The food was all good, everything we ordered, beer and drinks were great, service was warm and punctual and it wasn't crowded so we all felt super comfortable about being there during covid. Although... We plan on go back from years! I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a German place.

Food was ok but looked very vegetarian (we went there for beer and sausages, not for vegetables). Beer was good. Amount of food was on low side. They say small plate may feed 2-3 people but it's barely enough for 1. It's ok place if you are looking for just a bar. It's not good place if you are looking for proper German restaurant experience.

Exceedingly underwhelmed by this restaurant. The pretzel was not particularly flavorful nor warm. The wurst platter was similarly cold and poorly seasoned. Service was also a bit slow. Unlikely I will ever return.

Went for a wedding party. If you want Authentic German beers and food, this is the place. Be prepared for loud esp when it is full. The bar tenders were really good at keeping the group well hydrated.

Its aBoot (PUN INTENDED) the best place to go when it's nasty outside. Large wooden bench seats, HUGE wooden table, BOARD GAMES!? Prost has everything! Always have a blast with friends and family and the staff is always great and prompt with service.

Such a great experience! The service was exceptional and the food was great! We had the burger and the hogie and both were quite good. The pretzel was outstanding and the German beer was sooo good. Our server was very nice and accommodating. We will be back.

It does not get any better than Prost! The pretzel...the cheese curds...the BEERS. The best I’ve ever had. Need I say more?! This is my favorite spot to take Chicago visitors too. Everyone loves it. It’s the best. Not only are the food/drinks incredible, but the atmosphere is great too. I could hang here for hours. They even have community board/card games out (pre-covid) for guests to play. If you have never been to Prost you are doing yourself a disservice...get there now!!!
