I used to come here often to study when I was in college way back in the 90's. I try to stop in when I am in town. The food and service are excellent and they roast their own coffee. There is, and always been a great laid back atmosphere there. It's just a comfortable place. I understand they are moving down the road a bit in the near future, so I am glad I made it to the original location one more time.

It's a nice place. It's cozy and rustic and dimly lit. We sat in the back room. I had a croissant sandwich with scrambled eggs, a slice of ham, and lots of bacon on it. It was delicious. For a drink, I had a hot chocolate which wasn't very chocolatey, so I got chocolate syrup to add to it. It still didn't taste like much. I think they make it with water.

Food was good, coffee just as delicious. Only reason I don’t give five stars is because I don’t get a real locally owned coffee shop vibe. Completely ignored by the staff for several moments, feeling almost clueless I asked if I was able to place an order at the counter (typically the most logical place at a coffee shop) and then was served. Past that point I’d say they were fine, not rude, but not warm or welcoming either. Would I return again if I was in the area, probably. Would I ever go out of my way to come here, most likely not.
