Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Been coming here for years, great service, great food. For the first time ever I had an issue with my order, and Jacob, the general manager, went out of his way to correct it, providing exemplary customer service. My favorite place to grab a sandwich in the area.

This was first time to Potbelly. The food was excellent! I will certainly eat here again.

Good sandwiches, great chips. Extremely busy during lunch on weekdays, but weekends are much better. There's a nice bookshelf next to the restrooms for patrons to take or leave books to read.

I was visiting this location for lunch as I am on travel for work! The customer service is completely HORRIBLE!! Attitudes and ability to assist was some of the worst I’ve EVER experienced. The cashier had the nastiest attitude with everyone and they had the audacity to an attitude with me after they got my order wrong. Will NEVER eat here again. Just to be specific, this is the location at 401 John Carlyle St in Alexandria.

A regular lunch spot for me, always good food and reliable service.Update: STELLAR service. As I mentioned I go here frequently and the staff are always great. Today there was a little issue in making my sandwich and without me even asking the staff quickly jumped into action, fixed the problem, made me a new sandwich and compensated my meal free of charge! That is truly great customer service. Wish I could give them 6 stars!

Love this sandwich shop. Had Italian and vanilla smoothie. The sandwich was given warm and well prepared. Plus good looking gals in the area. 😊

It's decent and they did a great job with a busy lunch crowd

The sandwich was delicious as usual, but had a terrible experience with the service at this location. It took nearly 10 minutes to order and pay for three sandwiches with no line when we got there. No chicken salad... no ice cream...no coffee on the weekend... why? Just not happy.

I didn't actually eat here, however placed a catering order. The environment appeared nice. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The order was spot on and early. All need to be on the same page about charges and payment. There was a mix-up, however I would use their services again.

This would have to be my second favorite sub place. Really good subs and the employees are nice to talk to.

There is nothing better than walking into a sandwich shop and trying to figure out what kind of sandwich to eat when all of the sudden you see the advertisement of pumpkin pie milkshake. I would go there every day for one it was that good! I had the Italian sub and it was nice and fresh. My husband had the roast beef and he said it was very rare but that is how he likes it. The Voodoo chips are tasty. Service was good and fast.

Love the veggie sandwich! This place is good. Parking can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time of day you visit. Their cole slaw is amazing!!!

I got food poisoning here on December 4th 2018.I had to go to doctor and was vomiting. I felt like dying.This happened to a few of my coworkers here earlier. terrible food and the soda machine didn’t work.

I love this little sandwich place! It is a must if you're in the Alexandria area!! Great food!!!
