Portillo's Hot Dogs

They get all my money...All of my family order here...we LUV IT! The food is great! The design on the inside is retro and cute! I luv how they call out your order when its ready when u dine in or picking up. The only thing I dislike is that some of the employees have to stand outside to take orders in 30 degree weather or colder...it sucks but they seem toasty and warm and it matches their personalities which is super nice when their taking my order...My family and I appreciate their hard work and dedication. Thanks everyone at Portillios u are the best!

Food is AMAZING! Service slightly rude. Find great food like hot dogs, gyros, salads, steak and sausage sandwiches and much more - even soup. I had chicken noodle and it was fantastic! This is an order at one place, pick up your food at another place restaurant. Check your order when you pick it up as while we waited for our food, no less than 6 orders were brought back by customers as incorrect. I wish the folks passing out the food were friendly, but the food was great and the atmosphere was intriguing!!!

I Cant get enough of this place. I love the Italian Beef sandwich. It's good on the sub bun or the croissant. I prefer mined dipped in gravy. I also got an order of onion rings. Very good!!

While visiting Chicago, you know you have to try the city famous hot dogs 🌭I was craving for a good hot dog, searched on Google maps the nearest place for food and tadaaa! I went straight to this place and I was shocked the moment I entered the place. It was LIT! The interior was so classy - the process of order was amazingly done and it was an experience in itself. I totally enjoyed my food and I wish I had more time to try the other flavors and items on the menu.Will definitely go again

A mob scene on a Friday night, but pretty fast and an awesome dog. They keep it clean and make sure you are okay. Tons of employees there and they work well together. Tomorrow the beef croissant and cheddar!😁

Portillo’s may sound like just another fast food restaurant, but it’s so much more than that. The burger is flavorful and juicy, the fries crisp and delicious. The hotdog is amazing. A truly Chicagoan delight. Can’t wait to go back here.

A Chicago standard. I've been to a few locations and all have a different interior decor. All the decors are throw back to the 50's and 60's Americana. The music is from the same era. Overall a fun and family friendly atmosphere. Now to the food and a bold statement...."I've never had a bad meal at Portillo's " . My favorite is the Italian sausage and Italian beef combo dog. The sausage is juicy and flavorful and the beef is a perfect companion. I add the hot and sweet peppers as well as the mozzarella cheese. As you can see in the pictures I opted for the onion rings and a shake. Not much more that can be said. If you find yourself in the Chicago area with a bit of time, make this a priority.

David, the manager was incredibly helpful!! I had specific requests for my order as I was bringing it to Ohio. David made sure everything was packed separately and even gave me bags of ice to keep the food fresh. So helpful!

This was my first time visiting Chicago and my trip just wouldn’t have been completed if I had not gone to Portillo’s. I had a great experience, the beef dogs are literally to die for! Chicago style with some classic crinkle fries which were seasoned so well! Food was so delicious! The atmosphere was also great!

Great food! Enjoyed the Chicago Dog with onion rings and a drink. The chocolate cake was good too. The decor is fabulous. This place was busy the whole time we were there. So it is obviously a must when in Chicago!

They have one of the better (and cheaper) Chicago Dogs in town! Love the Italian Beef, Maxwell Street Polish, too. Vanilla Malts. Strawberry Shortcake. Lemon cake. Tamales (w chopped onion). Good Burgers, Great Pasta, Lovely Salads incl Caesar. The only small complaint; inconsistencies with Fries and Onion Rings from visit to visit. That's to be expected given their crowds and staff load. There's always a wait: and its always worth it! Delicious...6

I tried the Chicago dog and it was delicious. My husband got the Italian beef with nacho cheese, and sweet peppers. A tip: when getting there have someone get a table while the other person orders the food.

Wow. First time having a Chicago style dog and a beef sandwich. The Chicago dog was good but the real winner is the beef sandwich. I got it with gravy on the side so I can dip it.The fries and onion rings were ok.Definitely a must visit if you go to Chicago! They have a drive through if you visit late night.

There's not many times I can say too often where you get this... magical sandwich where it deeply touches you and makes a life memorable moment. But the Italian Beef sandwich you find at Portillo's in Chicago is just that. Theres something magical about the flavor of slow roasted, thinly shaved beef that's topped off with the savory juices its cooked in on fresh Italian bread with hidden pickled Italian hot peppers sprinkled out throughout each bite to give you that pleasant kick to the smoothness of each incredible bite. This sandwich today... forever in my memories... is truly one for the ages and a true Chicago classic.

Very busy during lunch. I got the Italian Beef dipped with giardiniera. It was a good sandwich but I've had better. As far as fast food goes the service was good and the overall experience was worth it for my first time. I will return and try the Chicago dog next.
