A contemporary restaurant serving original rustic California soul food Poppy Hall is the fruition of Chef Philip Wojtowicz, co-founder of the Big Sur Bakery and Restaurant, long held dream. In collaboration with sous chef Brendan Esons, formerly chef at the Big Sur Roadhouse and manager Anna Wilson, the restaurant offers exquisite cuisine at a very reasonable price.

Food is good, portions generous, and staff friendly. Loved the shishitos pepper appetizers. My companion had the NY Steak, which was very tasty. I had the prosciutto-wrapped trout hi, and while it was tasty, the saltiness of the prosciutto overwhelmed the taste of the fish. The chocolate pudding was sinfully delish. Highly recommended.

Have been here numerous times for Sunday Brunch. They have a dog-friendly patio with heaters, which is needed. Their brunch menu is interesting, items and combos not found in most places, and their coffee is spot-on. Service is good.

Interesting food combos. Delicious. Try the risotto! Super yummy! A bit crowded and noisy. It was hard to hold a conversation. The food overall was a little too salty. That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.
