Our dinner at Poogan’s Porch was delicious! We happened to go on a 40% off night, which was such a pleasant surprise. We got blackened catfish, fried shrimp, and a whiskey flight. They were very accommodating with substitutions and when we needed to speed up our meal to make a tour. Plus, our waitress Cat very kindly gave us some warm biscuits to go on a chilly night.

Everything about this visit was amazing! From the drinks and biscuits to the amazing surprise that it was 40% off food items due to an annual event they were having. The food was amazing. It was such a generous portion I couldn't finish it all. Our server was fun and funny. You could say he was a mushroom, Keith was a fungi. I had the fried pork chop and my girlfriend had the salmon and it was mouth watering. We had she crab soup and fried okra as appetizers and everything was just so well done. I will definitely be back.

This place screamed classic urban southern food in the best way possible. The location is a beautiful historic home and the food was fantastic. I highly reccomend their pimento cheese fritters. It was the best food we had while we were in Charleston. A little pricey but the quality was deserving of the price.

Delicious southern food! I had the mac and cheese and a cocktail and both were fantastic. My friends were not as blown away by the crab cakes, but they loved the crab soup and wedge salad.

Everything I've had at Poogan's had been great, but nothing beats the biscuits. Just the right texture inside and out. They really are amazing. This night, I had the salmon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious.

Great New Year's Day lunch! We sat at the bar community table due to the long wait. Really wished we had taken our ghost tour prior to having lunch there (we took our tour that night). Lots of history & ghost tales from this iconic piece of Charleston. Yummy bloody mary.

Nice place for southern comfort food. Nice service, just make sure you are clear about wanting to take your leftover food home. I guess I wasn't clear, only able to finish half, while the server saved my girlfriends leftovers, he tossed mine. Was pretty upset, hence part of the reason for the 4 the stars. Other than that it was just ok. I started off with a flight of Jamesons, and that was perfect. Then they brought 2 biscuits to the table with super soft whipped butter, and those were fantastic. I had (1/2 of) the shrimp and grits, which was quite tasty, and my girlfriend got the country fried pork chop, which was small and a little overdone. Not what she was expecting. Overall, a nice place to visit and share a meal, so I'd give them another chance to redeem themselves.

One of our favorite meals in Charleston! The food was delicious. My first time having shrimp & grits and it did not disappoint. Super flavorful and the fresh and hot biscuits were a bonus. Great service in a charming and cozy interior. Relatively easy walk from our hotel over on E. Bay St. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! Great experience! A must do while you are in Charleston. They food was super good. The staff was on point, very well engaged and made it such an enjoyable experience. Has a great history and just a great environment to witness. Wide range of food, sizes of meals and big menu of beverages.

The staff were great but the service was very slow-paced and we ended up waiting 45 minutes for 2 meals. The place was half full. I would expect better from what seems to be one of the best places in Charleston.

My husband, son and I went for lunch. Creative versions of good southern, American food options. Food was great, service was good. Baby/kid friendly atmosphere.

The environment and service was wonderful. I have grown up on the Gulf Coast eating and loving shrimp my entire life. The Calabash Fried Shrimp was the best fried shrimp I have ever eaten anywhere ... period and exclamation point!!! Bestmeal we had in Charleston.

Yup

I do not know if they offer gift cards, the best way to find out is to give them a call. We called before we walked in to see if it was reservations only and the hostess was very helpful and answered all of our questions.
