Pog Mahones

Really more like 3.5 stars. A sports bar kind of place with a small Irish pub menu in addition to a burger/sandwich selection. The beer list included a good selection of local micros in a variety of styles with the requisite macros. The fish and chips was a generous portion served hot and fresh with a nice crispy beer batter though otherwise unremarkable. A bit of coleslaw on the side would have rounded out the dish nicely. The Thursday evening timing of my visit gave it a small town corner tap feel, and the bartender was appropriately efficient and friendly.

Food was excellent. Quiet the night I was there. Friendly staff!

04/24/2019 Pog Mahone's is a great watering hole in downtown Mpls. The bar staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is chill & the beer is cold. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend stopping in for a brew and a bite.

Had a great experience last night after the Vikings game! It was packed and the service was outstanding. Wonderful staff and great nachos! Will definitely be back! I recommend getting a dessert too!

They serve Hamms! I had the stew and it was great. The kid's menu is funny, check it out, it's worth your time.

Great location by the stadium and the Guthrie theater. We had fish and chips; it was plentiful and far above average. Service was fine on a not-busy evening.

We live in the neighborhood and always enjoy dinner here. Burgers are always good. Perfectly cooked. Good 1/2 lb size. We love the tater tots, the waffle fries, and sweet potato fries. My husband remarked last night that the oil must be fresh-no off flavors. Nice beer selection. Easy to get a seat. We’ve always had good service.
