Great filter coffee and lemon ricotta torta. Peaceful place to sit down and relax. Easy parking outside.

I don't really like bakeries, or baked goods. Sweets and breads aren't really my thing. But I LOVE this place. Their pistachio croissants are like glorious, french baklava - flaky crumbles with mountains of flavor. I love their pizzas, I love their breakfast sandwiches, I love that they have delicious cold brew. Every time I go, I can't help but get a few extras to go for roommates, coworkers, or random people on the street. I want this place to succeed and I want everyone to know this place exists.

Best pastries in the city!! Seriously I always try to stop in for a bite then end up eating the entire pastry case. I especially love the croissants and morning buns, and they also have beautiful salads and yummy pizzas. Also love that it’s a small business owned by locals. Love spending all day here drinking coffee and catching up with friends on weekends. Neighborhood gem!

I didn't buy anything, but from what I saw, it seems to be a popular spot for grabbing coffee and pastries. There were a lot of people and the ambiance is very nice. I guess you can say it is is instagrammable, if anyone is interested in going there for pictures.

I would have given this restaurant five stars because the food was excellent, had I not had this experience. I stopped in for a quick breakfast with friends from out of town. While we dinned in, the staff was continuously using a large food processor to process butter. Not only was it extremely loud, but it was positioned at the front of the kitchen area so that it was basically in the dining area. We could not hear ourselves think, let alone each other talk. When we asked the cashier if the staff could wait to finish the processing once the diners left, since he had mentioned that the restaurant had not been busy all day, he rudely told us that they “had to do it.” It was an unpleasant experience.

The coffee (I got a latte) was delicious, but the baked goods were the standout. I got quiche and my husband a ham and cheese croissant, and they were fabulously delicious, beautiful and delivered oven-warmed. Yum!

Love this place! The pistachio croissant is just perfect - crunchy and buttery, not too sweet. And Pluma made us a perfect birthday cake - delicious and beautiful.

Pluma is an elegant bakery that the NE didn't know we needed! The pastries are fresh and brought out of their open kitchen to the front counters throughout your time so there's always something new and fresh to try. The latte ($4) is possibly the best I've had in DC. The breakfast sammy has port belly, pesto, and an egg open faced on delicious - if hard to cut - bread for $9.5. I highly recommend the avocado toast with an egg ($5.5 plus egg). Seating is limited so probably not wise for a group over four.

What is everyone’s MAJOR MALFUNCTION? I have no idea what is wrong with everyone on this review list that says that this place has these unbelievably amazing croissants and baked goods. Comparing them to France? Come on. I lived in Milano Italy, spent quite a bit of time in France and all over Europe. Lived in New York City for a long time in Queens and Manhattan. These baked good are mediocre at best. Anyone who says otherwise obviously does not have a refined palette when it comes to pastries and baked goods. They aren’t bad but they by no means are anything special. Many other bakeries in DC blow this place out of the water like a coast guard cutter sinking a ship. Two, maybe three stars at best.

This bakery will save you $1000 and 8 hours because you don't have to travel to the south of France for the best croissants! Pastry is buttery and flaky. The pistachio filling was smooth and luxurious. The only problem is that the baked good are so delicious that there is no way you could stay on a diet if you walk in to the wonderful bakery.

Nice little bakery at Union Market. The bread is amazing and they have great salads, soups and other items, as well.

Best croissants I've had outside of France and the breakfast Sammy was heavy but fantastic!

The decor of the place was typical hipster, but the food left much to be desired. The avocado toast was greasy. Also, the prices are too high for the quality of food. For example, $2 extra to add a friend egg

The pastries are incredible! The croissants were buttery, flaky, and wonderful! The staff was accommodating and friendly, and there atmosphere is hip, cheery, and sparkling clean. The area is in there process of being revitalized with probably half of the surrounding businesses having already been updated. It was an all around fabulous experience. Give it a try!

Yes

I don't know how much the loaf cost but everything is made from scratch and tastes excellent. My favorite item is the morning bread. With coffee or tea with it you would be nothing but happy consuming this one and the oatmeal cookies, brownies, Ham and cheese croissant are Heaven! I believe you would enjoy every item on the menu. My advice to you is to go to Pluma Bakery and Enjoy yourself!
