Playa Cabana Taqueria Norte

Honestly my favorite restaurant in the area. The portions are excellent, the flavor is absolutely on point. Lots of meat on the tacos, and my vegetarian wife has some great options too. Really really good, seriously. I can't stop going to this place.

Food was good but slow to come out. I’ve been to all locations so I’m disappointed that the chips doesn’t include salsa and guacamole. Tip- make reservations first and order everything at once because they are short staff.

Amazing food! Guac and Maragitas are on point! Staff are always friendly. They went above and beyond to accommodate our large group. Would recommend to anyone

Amazing flavours in this place! I am very picky when its about mexican food, however Playa Cabana nailed it! Amazing and very friendly staff, food delivered on timely fashion.I’ll be back !

We had lunch on New Year Eve 2020 and their foods are very good, fresh, and tasty. We loved their Margaritas..Service is very fast and pleasant.

They get better and better every time we go!! The service is fantastic and the food is great. Can't wait for patio season!

Delicious food, nice ambience and good service. We were a group of 7 for lunch on a Thursday and we were served promptly. Had the ceviche and tacos. The ceviche was quite large as an appetizer for one person and can be shared. Nice huge chunks of wild cod in it and tasted very fresh. The truck taco which was skirt steak with a red cabbage slaw on a white corn flour tortilla was delicious. They went nicely with the side of rice, guacamole and beans.

Recent opening and they are clearly still working out some details:- Wait staff friendly but not so knowledgeable about menu items.- Kitchen staff either not receiving customer concerns expressed to server, or they do hear the complaints and don't care to improve.- Decor: The budget may have gone mostly to the wall tile mosaic (lots of cactus in cheap plastic pots everywhere else).- Located in an office district which means lunch is their busiest time, yet almost no one there...Hopefully they catch up and make improvements soon. In the meantime I don't plan to return anytime soon.

I'm vegan and so often it's hard to find great food like I'd make for myself at home. I'm hooked! I ordered the vegan Chorizo Bowl with Mexican Rice and it was really good. There's so much food that I'll likely have it for supper as well.

Tacos are great. However menu needs to be corrected. It's $5 PER taco...so if the order comes with 3 that's 15$....that's hella expensive for small little tacos even if they taste good. The menu does not do a good job of telling you this, I don't think it even says it..but if it does, it's not obvious at all. Still, staff is great and friendly, food is delicious, especially the Truck Taco (grass fed beef!) and the Shrimp Taco. Still worthy of 4*

This is the PERFECT place for you..if you have a two hour lunch break.. was in today great atmosphere, staff seemed very nice and the place smelt great, however 45 minutes later my lunch was over and unfortunately I didn't get full from the smell of the kitchen alone so I had to leave. Might give them another try once they get more settled in.

Good tacos. Was reasonably fast service.

Service was great and really enjoyed the table hot sauces; the chili oil was particularly exceptional.

I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. It was hands down one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant.1. Food is way over priced2. One of our tacos was INCREDIBLY spicy which we couldn't eat (the menu didn't indicate that that item was spicy whatsoever) and when we asked to switch it out for something else they said no and wouldn't take it off of our bill. 3. The server said to us not all of their items list all the ingredients/spice level and we should have asked about every item individually...4. We could only order 3 or 4 of ONE TYPE of taco and our server proceeded to tell us the tacos were big and we'd only need 2 each. So we only got to try 1/2 types of tacos.Worst restaurant I've ever been to and I'll never be going back. Very disappointing.

Incredible Mexican food. All Playa Cabana restaurants are consistent and they always deliver.
