Platinum Dragon

Went there for lunch today. I ordered bourbon chicken. The guy pulls something out of the fridge, which I found after the I paid was my bourbon chicken. It had been previously fried and pit back in the fridge. I asked the guy if that my bourbon chicken and he stated that yes it was. He then says that they fry all of their meet now and so does every other Chinese restaurant. I told him that I wasn’t going to eat and and I asked for my money back. He then began to try and extrovert me that it was ok to eat, I still refused. I then ask if he has any fresh chicken that hasn’t been cooked already over and over. I finally ordered the orange chicken, which he said was fresh. Again, He pulled it out of the fridge and places it in the fryer. I get back to eat it and take bite, it was so chewy and over cooked that I had to throw it away. So I thought well I’ll just eat the noodles. Tried those... AWFUL! They were rubbery and tough. Do not waste your money at this place

Good lord! THAT was terrible. I ordered online for carry out and got the confirmation email that it would be ready in 35 minutes. I went about 5 minutes early and they hadn't even started preparing it. I waited another 30 minutes there in the storefront until it was ready. Tasteless. Poorly prepared. Disappointing. Yikes! I will NEVER order from the Platinum Dragon again.

Hour and a half after order it's still not here. Not impressed .. The food came and I am definitely not impressed at all. Definitely a waste of $30. The crab ragoons are over fried and less than filled. The chicken fried rice is ok but definitely not fresh or close too it. The chicken lo main is fresher but nothing to write home about. The pot stickers are bland and lastly I haven't tried the wonton soup yet. I'm sure if the food wasn't cold and old it would be better. I won't be trying again though. Thanks for the recommendation Chris H but I should have stuck with Chen's.

Been going to this place for 10+ years now. Small, family owned, but best chinese food in town. General Tso's is to die for, perfect amount of crunch and the brown sauce is spot on. Their egg rolls are also fantastic.

I called to place an order for 2 veg egg rolls & 2 shrimp egg rolls. I wait about 10 min to leave my house b/c it only takes me maybe 5 min to get there. I had to wait outside for 15 minutes ,due to the social distancing, for that rude man to tell me “we don’t have those” i asked him why didn’t he say that when i called and threw his hand up and started to walk away. I will NEVER and i mean EVER be back to this “restaurant”. This is my 2nd and very LAST time ever stepping foot in there.

Rudest person on the Phone I have ever had to deal with. Told me they were not going to deliver they’re too busy then hung up on me. I called back for takeout he puts me on hold comes back and says we’re busy call back in 15 minutes. Unbelievable!!!

Variety and can order online. Quality of food has declined over the years

I love Platinum Dragon! I’ve been eating here since high school and 20 years later it’s still my go to. Even when I moved to Cleveland and came back the owners remembered who I was and what I liked to order. I have never had a complaint about any of my orders.

Great food my faves are the Hunan Shrimp, Hunan chicken egg rolls and the lo mein shrimp as well! Great food I've been eating here since I was a kid now I'm an adult and it's still a great place to eat and it's reasonable too!

TERRIBLE FOOD!!! I think i may have food poisoning my stomach started to hurt terribly as soon as i finished eating. my office ordered several meals and a coworker found a hair in her food and her chicken was burnt and dried out. When i called to speak to a manager he was difficult and tried to argue with me bout how his food is made. overall i wish i could rate lower than 1 star we will never return there was no customer service at all and bad food

Pretty tasty Chinese food that's better than some of the other cheap restaurants around

I want this restaurant to improve so that’s why I’m rating it a three. I’ve lived in Akron 5 years and just ate here the other day and I wasn’t impressed with the food. We got veggie chow mein and a tofu special. I didn’t care for the sauces used and the veggies were pretty flavorless. I would love if the chefs put more thought into the flavors used because I want to support local business. Give us vegans a reason to come back. I like the neon lighting and if you put some care or thought into getting tables that aren’t wobbly it would be a nice place to eat.

New and final low- barbecue sauce on noodles sold as Pad Thai. Just don't.

It's normal American Chinese food. Nothing special about it, but it's good. Depending on who rings you out, you may have a minimum of 10$ to use a card, but then again maybe not. So be prepared for that. Also, depending on the worker they may not be the nicest. Kind of rude on the phone. China Garden is down the road a ways and Chin's Place are more recommended. Just better service at either one of those.
