Good gluten-free crust, albeit chewy. Good salads.

Not your average pizza placeMy wife and I stopped in for dinner on the recommendation of TripAdvisor 3 years ago. The menu was like a fine dining pizza restaurant. We shared an appetizer, pizza, and dessert. We now have a new favorite pizza place in Hyannis on our annual vacation. (Wish we had this at home)

Our daughter had recommended Pizza Barbone from her trip to Hyannis. Wife and I had the lunch special which included an 8" pizza and a salad each. Cost per special was very reasonable. Service was very good, as several servers shared responsibilities. The salads were a hit with us...mixed greens, with unique preparations of the carrots and the fennel. The balsamic dressing was very good. Wife ordered the Margherita (tomato, basil, mozzarella, Parmigiano). I ordered the Bianca Verde (roasted garlic, mozzarella, ricotta, Parmigiano, baby arrugula, balsamic drizzle). We shared our pizzas. Both were excellent. Would have liked to have had the crust just a little crispier. Other than that minor detail, the entire meal was great. But wait, there's more...desserts were tempting us. So, we shared their house made Tiramisu gelato which was served with a pizzelle. We were at Pizza Barbone in mid November. We can imagine how busy they must be during the tourist season.

The pizza and salad were really good. Nice and fresh. Service was a bit slow but only because there was only one waitress and she had ALOT of tables. She did do the best she could and did it with a smile

Showed up close to closing and they were still very friendly and accommodating. Excellent food.

Went here for a private event and made our own pizzas. They dont have a dedicated GF kitchen but their GF pizza is fabulous. Not rock hard, not cardboardy, not foamy. It's on the chewier side and turns out the flour they use is imported from Italy. After living in Switzerland for 3 years I can say that Italy is the #1 country I visited for gluten free friendliness. They've perfected the art of alternative flours. So I was excited to hear that pizza barbone uses Italian flour blends. Also you can buy their GF pizza crusts frozen to bring home and make your own pizzas and they're pretty affordable.

The food was excellent! Definitely one of the better pizzas I’ve ever eaten. I got a sausage pizza that had ricotta cheese on it in addition to mozzarella and it was wonderful. They have vegan cheese available as well as vegan gelato so everyone in my family got to enjoy it. I went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy. Service was good, too. I’ll go back again.

Good Naples style pizza. Wood brick oven that gives an excellent taste to the dough. Nice and friendly service, fair prices for a great pizza. One thing, on the internet site there was no mention of soups and pasta that they regularly offer as special. My friend did not join me since he did not fancy a pizza but for other options he would have come. Good espresso which is uncommon :) Overall, great dinner with a glass of wine. Recommend
