Love this bar. Great atmosphere, great staff, tasty British food and very reasonably priced.

When we lived in San Francisco 21 years ago our apartment was just around the corner from The Pig and Whistle and we learned to love this little 'English Pub.' We are currently in the city hiding from the Kincade Fire dessimating Sonoma County …and possibly our home. It was a real joy to discover that The PnW was still in business and serving the similar (if not the same) pub-fare Dinners. My wife's Fish and Chips and my Shepherd's Pie were both huge and wonderful. I recommend this quiet spot to anyone visiting (or living in) San Francisco. I'm sorry that our infrequent visits to SF have not often given us the time to stop and eat before beating a hasty return to Sonoma. If we still live in Sonoma after the current disaster passes, we will be sure to revisit The PnW as soon as is possible.

I had lunch there an ordered bangers and mash. Was very disappointed with there food. Bangers weren't cooked well and the mashed potatoes where old tasting very bitter. No Bueno

Great low-key spot for a beer, some English pub fare, and maybe a round of darts. Friendly locals and amazing happy hour prices make it a standard for me!

I love this place! Bangers and Mash, Fish and chips, beautiful pub fare. And so uncrowded at lunchtime. The cute bartender serves you with his sweet Irish accent. Cool spot, so much better than that nasty "breakfast all day" place up the street.

Perfect pub atmosphere near USF. Great bar food & huge variety of beer & spirits.

Great selection of draught beers, enticing prices during their happy hours, stayed for delicious fish and chips, also great price. Will return for more pub food and drinkðŸ˜

If you're looking for a laid back spot to grab a drink I would definitely head here. The feel is of an Irish pub bar. The drinks are cheap and the food is actually really good. They have fun events like trivia night, and the bartenders are always friendly.

Prices are excellent for its location. Very much a neighborhood bar. Staff is always friendly. My one gripe is how the bathrooms and sometimes the back area of the bar smell like urine..... fix that and it could be a smashing place!

Great fish and chips. Order your food at the bar, take a seat at at a table and soak in the place with a nice drink as well. Nice people at the bar.

Service was bar service nothing I shouldn't have expected. I feel the bar tender over stepped correcting a customer about ordering an Irish car bomb. I get the explanation but I dont feel it's the place of a server to correct a customer like that. The fish and chips were good. But there was mold on one of the girls cheese cake. Definaltly wont go back.

Trivia night Wednesday was a blast, our team came in second place. Bartenders were friendly and service was fast. Highly recommended, still great after all these years.
