Pig and Khao

A delicious southeast Asian food experience! The service was great - our waiter was attentive but not invasive, and the food came out with enough time to enjoy each dish. The dishes were flavorful and small plates were perfect portions for 2 people! I also highly recommend the coconut rice - take some home with you!

The waiter rushed us. 4 times! My friend and I were in a rather animated conversation and we were interrupted multiple times. It was so forced that we felt awkward. The sides were served before the main course. I found this service hilarious. The fish was alright but overall the menu was pricey for the quantity and quality.

Great food. The Chili Pan Me was so flavorful & Papaya Salad were good. Definitely coming back here! It’s a small kitchen, and the guys in there work so seamlessly without a show of stress.

The food was amazing. The staff were friendly. The chefs, from all different backgrounds, were fabulous. Since the kitchen is open space in the restaurant, they will answer your questions I the spot. What a great experience! Recommend to all.

Amazing food, is only the start. The music is perfect for the environment, the staff is amazing. Love the fact that it's an open kitchen. Flavors are just perfect. Can't wait to go back already.

Been here for dinner twice. Fantastic Asian fusion with a pretty wide array of dishes from duck to noodles to sticky rice. Everything we've had has been memorable and worth repeating.

Great food, awesome spot!! My friends and I went here for brunch and it’s was fantastic. Great manager/owner and the staff was attentive and understanding. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to everyone!!!

The food was delicious. Would have given them 5 stars but the service is wanting. The receptionist was rude and felt like he couldn't be bothered. He also served food and haphazardly placed our food on the table. The server was very abrupt. Granted it was a bit busy. She did make up for it towards the end of the meal by checking in on us more often. The redeeming factor was Mario, who made the experience passable when he checked on us mid-dinner and listened to our concerns. His warm personality and genuine apology made up for the unwelcoming experience we had. The other staff should learn from him. I wish we could say that we will be back but the unpleasant experience left a bad taste. Despite the great food, the meal was not enjoyable.

They serve big portions and for reasonable prices. super friendly staff. They never disappoint.

Fun, tasty food but like other reviewers have said, the service is definitely wanting. Also, I couldn’t have a relaxed conversation with my friend because the music playing in the restaurant was *so* loud. I felt like I was shouting the whole entire time. I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.

This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. The ambience is great. It’s a bit loud but not overwhelmingly so. The food is incredible. Prices are typical for your NYC dining experience. This is my go to when I want to bring a friend out to a fun dinner.

I love Pig and Khao because there food is delicious. It's a small place and it can get very crowded and it's very loud whether you're in the front or back. I would suggest you sit in the back because you'll get the A/C but in the winter the front area is definitely where you want to be. The price is very reasonable for the service and food you're getting. A dinner for two was right around 100 dollars and that's getting three small plates, with a large plate and three side plates. Trust me unless you're both are big eaters you won't be able to finish it all. Let's not forget drinks, my favorite drinks there are the beer, which is the lucky buddha and the seven lakes beer if I remember correctly. Servers are very attentive and nice. Reservations fill up quickly so don't miss a chance to try out this place I highly recommend it.

Family style restaurant that offers a wide array of Southeast Asian cuisine. Food is fantastic and I can't recommend it enough, though it can be a little tight at the 2 person tables. Great for groups 6 or under

We started with several orders, which does not disappoint, and goes very well with the chips and salsa (two kinds - both super tasty). Those that had margaritas enjoyed them, and despite decent sized portions, I don't think there was anything leftover from our meal.

I have a severe allergy to peanuts, so I called the restaurant the night before my friends and I had brunch to ask about how Pig&Khao fares with people who allergies to peanuts. The manager said people come in often who have allergies and it won’t be a problem. Today when we sat down the first thing I told our server was how severe my allergy is - anaphylactic - and she didn’t seem to care or register what I was saying. I repeated it again that I have a deathly allergy, and she said well let the kitchen know. I end up having something that clearly had either touched or been cooked near peanuts / peanut oil and I go into an allergic reaction. Thank god im alive but I will never go to this restaurant again and you should not either if you or your family/friends have severe allergies.
