Pietro Migliaccio has 50 years experience in the restaurant industry. His first restaurant was in New York called mamma Lucia. Then he ventured to the west coast of Florida and opened a very successful restaurant called Cafe Gabbiano on siesta key, He sold the restaurant in 2012. In 2013 he opened up a restaurant downtown Sarasota called Casantica he sold the restaurant in 2014. At Pietro‘s restaurant You can find a great atmosphere, a spectacular wine list second to none, and most important the food is to die for. When in Sarasota please give it a try and I guarantee you you will be a stranger only ones. The second time you are part of his family.

The wine was not good, the grouper special must have been old or not fresh because it had a terrible fish taste. My wife's veal chop was over cooked, it was tougher than a shoe. Her pasta was not cooked through. My coffee came late it was hot but must have been sitting around all night. I just wanted to get out of there.

Excellent food and service. Went on Christmas Eve and serving a limited menu. They accomadated my husband and myself and made vegetarian lasgnia.

The atmosphere, music, and food was close to being in italy or feeling Italian than other places... Marco and Elena were fabulous servers as well!! Will be back again!!!
