Pierre Loti's Chelsea location is outfitted much like its Irving Place sister spot, with a vaguely Turkish vibe and quaint outdoor seating in front. The long space has minimal decoration, with the exception of two star-shaped mirrors adorning the walls, and one long cushion with tables lined in front. The menu is studded with wine-friendly bites and cheeses, but there are also eclectic options like stuffed sardines and bulgur patties . There's a servicable entree list which includes a tasty pan-seared jumbo sea scallops with sauteed asparagus. The winelist offers about 70 bottles, 20 of which are also available by the glass.

Never write reviews but this was easily the worst service I've ever encountered in NYC, which is saying something. Waiter was brusque and rude. Ordered a bottle of wine—at a wine bar, remember—and was brought a different (significantly cheaper) bottle, that was not even offered on the menu, without any explanation or apology. When asked if he was aware this was a different bottle than we ordered, he simply said "yes" and walked away. Also, there are nails sticking out of their benches—which ripped my friend's pants when he sat down. When brought up to waiter, he said "OK." So watch out for that.

Food was pretty good, and the specials using the Fever app are pretty great. The server was attentive and checked in on us the perfect amount of times. It is quite dimly lit and offers really good drink prices for the neighborhood. Others mentioned it was too loud, but felt pretty comfortable for a Sunday Eve. Give it a shot, from apps, to off the grill to casseroles, this place has it all and it is all delicious!

Attended one of their happy hour events and cannot emphasize enough what a great selection of wine they offer. Along with their varied selections, the food is really tasty and well worth it. From Turkish to Spanish favorites. Truly enjoyed my visit and have returned since. Thank you
