Philz Coffee

Love this coffee! They have an ample variety of coffee and always put love and care into each cup. There is lots of space for sitting, but a lot of the seats are at family-style tables or taken by laptoppers so it may be hard to get a personal spot. A bit of outdoor seating for nicer days!

Staff is very friendly and attentive to every customer even when the line is to the door. The selection of coffee is top notch and there's something here for any coffee lover. I got the Philtered Soul and it tastes incredible and the flavor profile matches what is on the menu.

The coffee is very good, but takes a really long time to get. You can't stop in here for a quick to-go cup on your way to work because it will take you 15 minutes to get your made to order drip coffee. Also, I have never once gotten a seat inside, because people camp out for the day working or studying from Philz, using the free WiFi. I think they should limit the free WiFi to 30 minutes a day to limit the campers. As it is now, you absolutely can't meet a friend at any Philz location in DC to chat over a cup of coffee, because you will not get a seat.

One of the first locations on the east coast. The mint coffee here is no joke. Delicious and so refreshing. Great area to sit down and do some work. They have a great bakery and plenty of drinks to choose from
