Innovative American Cuisine, Great Specials & More...If you've not yet discovered Philip Marie, a neighborhood gem in the heart of the West Village, you're in for a real treat. It's here that Executive Chef and Owner John Philip Greco III works his culinary magic in an environment steeped in New York City's hidden past. Despite its historic setting, replete with secret underground passages, a former speak-easy and the shadows of a 200-year old love story, the restaurant's concept and menu exhibit the young, hip creative take on "good ol' American food" with which the owner opened his brain-child 15 years ago. Philip Marie's main dining room continues to set the stage for some of the most innovative American dishes in New York, including wild game, exotic meats, fresh seafood and irresistible desserts. A warm and attentive staff helps to maintain Philip Marie's extremely devoted clientele.

Brunch was amazing! I got the Lumberjack. One of my friends got the Salmon Burger and the other one had the Crab Cake Benedict. We all loved our food. Their mimosas are really good. Service is good and the staff is friendly.

Rented a private room in this cozy and welcoming restaurant for Valentine's Day. The server was very attentive and friendly. He was so well informed of the menu. I'm not a very adventurous foodie but tried and mostly enjoyed the variety of cuisines offered. The entire staff, down to the chef, was very accommodating! A very lovely and memorable experience, and I got to learn all about the history of the restaurant which was a sweet added bonus.

Want slow service? Rude waiters? This is the place. Read other low rated reviews that are accurate. This place needs a chef, a manager, or just close. It's not the spotted pig. Its inedible and you wait and wait for a table. Its crazy.
