Peet's Coffee: Pennsylvania Ave NW

I just tried their Havana Cappuccino w/ soy milk and it was really delicious! They offered to either make it "light" or used a light condensed milk, not sure, but it was not too sweet. The only complaint I have is that their music is too loud. It's as if they someone performing in here live. It's not background music, it's actually rather loud and makes me a bit anxious. If you have headphones on with your own music you can still hear theirs.

I have always loved Peet's since I was stationed in California. I was glad to see branches in DC. The atmosphere is quiet, and clean just like a coffee shop should be. The staff was friendly and eager to serve. I live in Md and I think it's a wasteland for good coffee. (IMO Starbucks and Dunkin donuts are not good, I like my coffee without any additional ingredients). Peet's coffee tastes good and doesn't require whole milk and syrup to be drinkable. Just try Peet's next to Starbucks/Dunkin/McD's and you'll be able to tell the difference.

I absolutely love this place. It is like a breath of fresh air to see consistent, exceptional customer service. These guys work as a team to get the job done and always pleasant. Other coffee shops should observe because this is how customer service should be. They have a wonderful selection of drinks, including ice teas.

My office team of about 6 dudes and dudettes would meet here every morning at 8am andnjust relax. The atmosphere is inviting The coffee? Delicious. Not too acidic on the right blend. The staff? Right on point. Funny, friendly, and they don't feel forced. They'll remind you to use the app. Not because it feels like a corporate mandate but because you actually get some good perksI've bought three glass pour over carafes here. I've bought countless pounds of beans too. Dont let the bins fool you, they do post the date of roasting. Its worthwhile. Expensive but you get what you pay for.Food? I don't really ever order it but my coworkers swear by some of their breakfast meals. "This ain't your McD's sangwitch" my coworker who likes to purposely mispronounce words would say. I'll take his word for it.They're friendly to protesters and to the homeless. Oh and they're open earlier than most of the places around.

Morning coffee is good but Peets coffee is better. I honestly think they have one of he strongest coffee I had and plus it keeps you up.

The positioning of the place right next to the white house is great, the place has a lot of room inside and a lot of places to sit at but no place to sit outside. The tea manue is extremely expensive and from my point of view unfriendly especialy for a guy like me who just wanted to have a simple nice cup of tea, I don't understand this special kinds of teas and don't know what they all mean and no one walked me throu it to simplfy it for me. The coffe was mid average not SO bad bad not my best. The sandwiches were really great, I really enjoyed them.

Not bad, not amazing... But not bad. Only got iced herbal tea and a muffin here so I can't judge their coffee, but I hear it's great. :)
