Pearl Island Catering

When we started our wedding planning, we immediately thought of Pearl Island. After loving their food at the market and their Jefferson School location for years and using them professionally often, we were excited to finally get to use them as caterers for our own event. Denisha, the catering manager, is a joy to work with. She helped us customize our menu with fancy appetizers and the most delicious buffet spread. We also hired them to bartend the event. They worked diligently to ensure everything ran perfectly on our big day. We got many compliments from every table, even those with severe dietary restrictions, who were thankful Denisha went above and beyond to clearly label each item to accommodate our guests (gluten free, vegan, nut free etc.). We were startled at the end of the night when everything was magically cleaned up. We couldn't have wished for a better experience; we'd recommend Pearl Island for seriously any event.

I first tried Pearl Island catering at the Saturday market in Charlottesville. I am from Michigan and could not forget how good the food was so I knew when I started planning our wedding, they were who I wanted to cater for us. We had the Caribbean food and it is unbelievable. They were professional and easy to work with. We were told by more than 1 guest that it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and I have to agree. If you're looking for something a little different than your normal wedding food, check out Pearl Island catering! I cannot recommend them enough.

Absolutely amazing food! Love the beans, plantains & spicy slaw. The catering manager, Denisha, goes out of her way to make sure catering menus are exactly what each customer needs.

Pearl Island catered the ACPS Parent Council Year End meeting and I couldnt have been more happy w prompt delivery, gorgeous setup, earth friendly compostables, and of course AMAZING food Thank you Pearl Island for a lovely dinner!

They catered this past week at Red August Farm and the food was delicious. We loved the kale salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The only issue is I wish you were closer to us. Thanks for the great lunches. I will definitely recommend your services.😊

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Pearl Island Catering. There are many different caters in the Charlottesville area and, because of my line of work, I have worked with about 80% of them so far- Pearl Island is one of the best out there (if not THE best)! I have been using Pearl Island to cater for my office once a week over the last 1.5 years and they are not only extremely professional and timely but are also SO easy to work with! While their signature is Caribbean inspired dishes they have put together many other menus to provide variety in our weekly meals and they have absolutely dominated. I wish I could give Pearl Island 100 stars because that is what they deserve.If you are looking to have an easy to work with, fun, experienced, and professional cater you have to go with Pearl Island Catering.

I got the jerk chicken platter that comes with beans and rice, kale salad and plantains. Really delicious!! Healthy and appropriate portion size.

Fantastic take-out dinner! I appreciate so much that they use compostable containers (and they're great for freezing compost in between trips to McIntire) We got the veggie and chicken platters, and a bahn mi for good measure. Everything was so flavorful, fresh, and gave the impression of healthfulness even though it was hearty. The beans were particularly amazing. We just found out new go-to.

This place is amazing. Everything they make is delicious and full of love. They were the caterers at my wedding two years ago, and people are still raving about how good the food was!

Fantastic coffee was a bonus! There is a reason why Pearl island is at all the festivals!
