Best pizza in town. Great food before or after a show

I recently embarked on a pizza crawl with friends in Manhattan and this was our first stop. Patzeria is conveniently located in the heart of the Theater District (it's right across the street from Hamilton) and is a solid stop for a pre- or post-show slice. The restaurant itself is super small and can get crowded so it felt a bit rushed when placing and waiting for my order, but I suppose that's part of the quintessential "New York experience". I got a slice of the lasagna pizza (they do sell by slice), which has all the fixings you would expect from a lasagna - tomato, ricotta, and ground beef. I really liked how the sweetness from the ricotta countered the savory beef, which was a nice change from your regular plain cheese pizza. The only difficulty was the fact that the toppings were too heavy for the thin crust so it kind of fell apart as I was eating it. Out of all the pizza we tried on our crawl, Patzeria definitely had the crispiest, most golden crust. Overall a great pizza!

Lots of types of pizza, and pretty good quality, but they get you in and out pretty quick.

Meh... I came to place because of all the positive reviews. The pizza is OK at best. I got 2 slices and had no desire to finish them both... I've had better in Atlanta which was a surprise to me since I'm in NYC. Options are limited here and food is mediocre. My advice would be to try somewhere else.

Ok pizza. Small counter for dining in, no tables. Crust was a bit heavy for me. Mediocre slice, less than par for NYC

Good pizza they made our order wrong at first but were able to make a new one for us right away. Delicious and very New Yorker pizza. Will definitely go back for a quick slice

I tried the grandma and spinach and mushroom slice. Both were good. The crust was crispy rather than doughy. It's slightly thicker than I would've liked but it held up the generous amount of fresh toppings. Service was nice but depending when you go sometimes you might get a really angry guy. Don't be alarmed.

Local New York pizza connoisseur. Work in midtown, figured id give this spot a shot. $9 for 2 slices of sub-par pizza that reek of garlic! If i were Prez i'd give this a 4.7 review. Times Square pizza is usually mediocre at best - but plenty of other spots to check out over this place. Save yourself tourists!

This is the best pizza I've ever had.....the joint is small but it's worth it. Will love to try it again.😋

Good pizza, big slices. There’s no tables in this pizza shop, either stand by the road or pack it back home.
