Service was good, food was great and the portion size was good as well. I liked the fact that the establishment took time to include pieces of Jamaican culture in the space.

Came in unsure because I didn’t know if the food would taste good (first timer). When I had my first bite it blew my mind how great it tasted. I ordered the large jerk pork with rice and peas and extra spicy gravy over the rice. I completely and utterly recommend this restaurant. Staff were also very nice. I will be back! Found my new go to place!!

Staff was friendly and welcoming, hence the 2 🌟's. Service was very very slow. Given the reviews I was expecting more, this place was a major disappointment. The rice was soggy and goat curry full of fat and bones and tasteless. Chicken wasn't any better either. My kids pointed out that the roti skin/shell tasted like a kitchen towel. I have $50 worth of food in my compost. I'm hoping this is not the standard, because if it is, getting new tables, flooring and decor will not fix the taste of the food. I wish you luck but I will not be taking another chance.

Patois has the best jerk chicken I've ever had, literally. I will be recommending this place to all my friends. I devoured it so fast that I forgot to take a picture. 5 🌟, hats off to the chef who even checked in on us.

The food at Patois was excellent. We particularly liked the Pepper Pot soup which was very flavourful with lots of meat and provisions! Both the jerk chicken and oxtail were very well prepared. Be cautious if you do like it too spicy! The fish sells out fast so come early! This is an excellent place if you are looking for an authentic Jamaican food experience.

Super delicious and high quality. Home style cooking to the extreme. I truly enjoyed every single bite. Prices and quantities leaves a bit to desire, but nothing too dramatic and definitely does not take away from the experience. Will definitely be going back.

I have to say my first visit was ok. Tonight was awesome. Service was great and the food was amazing. I will try it again and see if it wasn't a fluke.

Very tasty authentic Jamaican food. Love how you get the choose your hot pepper level! Will be back here often. Great staff who pay attention to detail. Keep up the great work!

FOOD WAS AMAZING! Good portion and great service from the staff. We took our 5 month old baby and they were understanding of the noise(crying). Highly recommended!

Very good place to eat and hospitality is great!

Visited this place while in Oshawa and honestly it was really good. The food took a little while to come but when it did, the red peas soup was on point and the curry chicken hit the spot. The place seemed like it was under renovation but that did not detract from the enjoyment of the meal.

Great tasting food with very friendly service. The $10 lunch special is a great deal. The curry chicken is my favorite.

The food is great. tons of flavour. costumer service is top notchI called in for an ackee and salt fish a night before but the amount of ppl i said is coming in..... there's no point on getting a tray, they say they can make it at the spot. I came but the amount of food i need...... i do need a tray since i'm trying to fill my pot to serve. I swear the costumer service is top notch and compliment to the chef on the short of period of time they really pulled through. My so called brunch was a success since my guest went for seconds.

Chicken curry was by far best I’ve had in Durham. Too spicy for the kids yet my son kept coming back for more! So many levels of flavour. Will definitely order again. Great customer service, very friendly and welcoming.

Love their food. Also while u r there try their Caribbean beers....The staff are fantastic, and chat with the owner...great guy.
