The shop offers five flavors of sorbet. We had the strawberry hibiscus and the pear almond. Sorbet was very sweet and tasted just like strawberries. It was a little too sweet and was on the softer side. Scoops were very large. We ordered two scoops which ended up being more like 3.

Their paninis taste very good but not filling nearly enough and so they could be more generous in terms of meat and condiments.

A great patisserie that has unfortunately been driven away by the building's owner who wanted to triple the rent (to St-Jean - well worth looking up if you're in the neighborhood)

My wife is addicted to this place and not without a reason. It serves some of the best French pastry out there. You must, however, come in early, otherwise you may end up fighting people for scraps (not literally of course).

Questions & Answers

We were there at 11 and they were continuously making them.

They only make delicious bagels.

Hey Susana (I don't work for st viateur) but I can take an educated guess and say probably not. Montreal bagels, although my favourite, tend to become stale quite quickly and probably wouldn't last the journey. You can probably call them directly for an answer though.

Not.

Yes, they also have hummus and some other dips

Hey, they do ship them to the states actually (for the exception of Alaska and Hawaii i believe). So you might just be in luck!! Choose USA when you get to their online bakery page http://www.stviateurbagel.com/online-bakery

Everything is possible when you put the price

In essence, none of them are since they are all dipped in honey water both for taste and for moisture inside of the bagel. Besides that, you can consider all their other ingredients vegan-friendly.

With cinnamon yes!

No, but there are exceptions. All bagels are made from a basic dough of flour, yeast, salt and a sweetener such as malt syrup or honey. Egg bagels have one obvious difference: Whole eggs or egg yolks are added to the dough.
