Unbelievably, a $7 eclair is actually worth it. I recommend the fruit custard eclair, but the STAR was the berry tart. Nearly foodgasmed.

They were able to swap out breads for us to veganize the avocado toast. The avocado toast was very yummy and filling. They gave us a lot of avocado with it. Service was super nice. Food came out quick. Thanks!

Beautiful pastries but only average taste. Croissant and kouign aman on the bigger/fluffier side. Croissant was nicely buttery but not very crispy. Kouign aman sugary not very custardy. Thai tea macaron was delicious.Stumptown coffee but the barista not the same level as uber hipster baristas.

The place is beautiful but the workers cashiers sucks! One of them start making fun of my looks with the other cashiers. Just because you are behind the counter doesn’t mean that people can’t hear what you are saying from the other said! Never coming back to this place.

I reserved the dessert bar 2 weeks ahead for a special occasion. It was our anniversary. We were so excited, but when we got there at 6:55pm for our 7pm reservation. The dessert bar door was locked. I never thought that the restaurant was closed because we got a confirmation message 30 minutes before the reservation. We waited in front of the door for 30 minute, constantly calling their number, which they didn’t respond. There should be at least a sign that the bar is closed, and they should have contacted to the people who made a reservation. We ruined the day that supposed to be wonderful. Thanks a lot. Hope u don’t charge us $50 for ‘cancelling’ our reservation that we couldn’t even enter. I can’t believe such customer service can exist.

**5 Stars** Custom ordered "Messy Croissants" as Chanson may be the only bakery in NYC that makes them. Jessica answered all my emails promptly and was able to confirm the order with the kitchen asap. Then when I went to pick-up, Roberto helped me gather paper goods and everything I would need to make my croissant party a hit! Not to mention EVERYONE loved the delicious chocolatey goodies. Thank you!!!

Good value! And love that you can choose self-service vs table service, and sit by the windows. And therefore not have to tip. How refreshing. $14 for a brunch dish, not great value, but okay.

Very few bakeries in the city can justify the (usually) absurd prices of their pastries. Fortunately, Chanson has no such issue. The pastries here are fantastic, while it’s cafe and traditional menu are just above-averageChanson prepares pastries that are almost always delicious, unique, and consistently good. Some favorites include the Lemon Bomboloni, the Everything Croissant, and the Blueberry-Basil Koign Amann. I see myself coming here at least once a week for the foreseeable future!

Amazing pâtisseries and super friendly staff. But I didn’t expect the pain au chocolat to be $8.15 lol great place otherwise

I love the way this place looks. Their teas and coffee are good and their pastries are delicious. They offer afternoon tea which includes several treats with your tea. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable.

The place does have french feel and taste all around. Breads and other baked items are so delicious! Granted that their soft serve is $9 for one cup/cone, the black seaseme soft serve was amazing and worth it!

Patisserie Chanson has a wonderful selection of pastry items. Their raspberry croissants, which are filled with jam and chunks of chocolate, are probably the best in the city. The shop has a causal self-serve area with small round tables, each for 2 or 3 people in the front and a table service dining area in the back. Amazing staff!
