Themed after one of my favorite scientists and delicious cocktails to boot. This place is fun and perfect for a date night (or any night). I enjoyed the little nods to Tesla around the bar, nice touches. Service was also great with a friendly wait staff. Will be back again soon!

For some this might be old news. As this is a speakeasy. But still, if you cannot find the entrance in the evening: the coffee shop “seems closed”. But just open the door, it is open. The waiter will bring you to the back where the actual bar is. I had a great time, went back a second time which was also pleasant. Make a reservation for a table.

Great new speakeasy with a nice take on Nikola Tesla’s nook—yes, Tesla was a resident of the place and it is neatly decorated and has a pigeon sighting (behind the bar). Tesla fans will know the significance of the pigeon. The speakeasy is hidden behind a coffee shop—a nice front from a speakeasy, please don’t be fooled by the walk down in to the coffee bar. The craft cocktail game was on point and their service was a bit slow at the beginning since it was a brand new spot, however, having said that, the host, Coy, was superb, and delivered with flying colors. We actually spent my wife’s birthday and were rewarded with a bottle of Prosecco. We were a tab bit disappointed that they ran out of the cocktails that we wanted, but, the expert mixologist, Kat, was kind enough to make their replacement and it was a delight! This is a great place and has a tremendous upswing to its potential. Great cocktail ideas are on the menu, and hopefully, they will keep reinventing their eclectic menu/drinks. Highly recommend Patent Pending!

I absolutely love this speakeasy. It’s one of my favorite ones. I love the vibe inside and the story behind all the cocktails. This is based on teslas journal and I love that each of the drinks is almost an engineering twist to it. The theme is great. The bartenders are really fun. I’ve tried so many drinks here and loved each one! I appreciate that they don’t want it to be crowded so they only let in a Few people at a a time. But keep in mind there will be a wait since it’s only walk ina

I am a cocktail fanatic, this place made amazing drinks. We got one grilled panini, even that was delicious. It had a hidden /speak easy appeal to it... which was awesome because we passed it three times before asking for directions. Inside is a quaint and intimate feel. Excellent service.

The drinks are good but.. the waiting list is ridiculous. The waiter let someone who is behind us cut the line and said that they already had a reservation. The truth is the bar doesn’t accept any reservations. Also there are many empty tables but the waiter just kept the customers waiting outside. Anyway, the environment and drinks are gorgeous and I love them.

As soon as I knew we were visiting New York City and that this place, the place of my dreams, existed I knew it was my #1 must see spot. After some hesitation(how long will the line be? Will we get in?), we decided to bite the bullet and head down. From the very first interaction with Maria, I knew we had made the right decision. After sharing with her how excited I was and how I had dreamed of coming here, she truly helped make the experience amazing from the get-go. After seating us at the bar, the wonderful service didn’t stop for a moment. Greg was an AMAZING bartender, and the Electric Messiah was the best drink I have ever had in my life. Best $26 you’ll ever spend, trust me. I cried at the beauty of this place, and the customer service and experience were just as beautiful. If you have the chance to stop by, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Thanks so much for making my dream everything I could have ever hoped for and so much more.

Such a great place, ordered #1, which was a great and refreshing drink, on the sweet side. Almost missed the spot, it’s behind a coffee shop, highly recommend going for a drink!

Great little secret hiding behind a coffee shop. Loved the atmosphere, the service and the cocktails. Would highly recommend to small groups of 2 to 4. Place is tight but perfect for a group of 4.

Super cool speakeasy in back of a coffee shop. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long but it usually moves pretty quickly. Actual cocktails are definitely on the pricier side - 24-30$ but quite tasty. Ask for an original mai thai with the pistachio orgeat!

Good vibes speakeasy with a pretty cool theme and some amazing cocktails. Tried The Science fiction facto, Noble Slight, Impossible Idea, Hit by a Taxi - I loved them in that order. Be ready to wait if you're trying to get in on busy days. We went at 5:20PM on a Saturday and had to wait for 30mins to get in. No complaints though.

Chill spot with a ton of great drinks on the menu. Get there right at 5p or expect a wait - they only allow in as many people as there are seats. No standing room.

Very fun late night experience, interesting drinks, friendly staff. The indoor temperature was a little steamy...our group was praying for people to walk by to kick up a breeze it was so hot in there. Prepare to spend some hard earned dough...drinks were $20+. That being said, it was obvious a lot of thought and bartender labor went into each cocktail. My favorite detail was the tie in to Nikola Tesla - allusions in almost every aspect of the location and menu. A clever nod to history!
