My husband and I were passing by Papyrus and decided to give a try because of the beautiful Bird Nest Konafa we saw from outside. The place is cute, the service is great and the food is awesome! Plenty of vegetarian options. Coming back again to try the other options.

I’ve tried pretty much everything on this menu and it’s all so good I don’t even know where to begin. I think my favourite is the Tameya sandwich, which has such a lovely combination of textures and flavours. But the Ful and Koshari are also excellent.

Our Egyptian family had an amazing experience here. Really delicious authentic food. Amr (the owner) is so friendly as well and he even made us a batch of lemon mint juice just because we said how much we missed it. Definitley a must eat!

I don't usually leave reviews but we just left and really wanted to leave a review to reflect this great new place. The food taste and quality exceeded our expectations. The service and prices were great and overall a wonderful place. Amr, the owner was very inviting, genuinely kind and professional, thanks so much!!

Don't be scared off by the vegetarian nature of Papyrus - you won't leave hungry and they don't feature the dubiously "healthy" soy alternatives you find everywhere. The dishes I've tried have always been expertly prepared, fresh and filling. I'm not a vegetarian but I don't miss the meat here!I always go for the Koshari, since it's so delicious and healthy, and I love the dokka appetizer. The owner and employees are attentive and enthusiastic. They are working hard to provide a nice space and something special to this neighbourhood. There is a liquor license here now, but the hibiscus tea is the highlight of the drink menu for me.The price is reasonable for the portions and the amount of work this type of cuisine requires. We're fortunate to have places like this in Toronto. Take full advantage of it!

Be careful of what you order. Extremely overpriced!! 3 pieces of small falafel for extra $8. Very good taste overall though

A friend who lives in the Bloor-Danforth area suggested Papyrus for a quick, healthy dinner one night. This friend assured me that there would be vegan options, and that the food was prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. He was right. The food was fabulous. Prepared from fresh ingredients and beautifully seasoned, it is clear that each of our dishes was made with love. The space is small but immaculately kept and the staff was warm and inviting. If you're in the neighbourhood, I highly recommend trying Papyrus.

I visited Papyrus in November and left with a very positive impression of the place. Despite initial concerns that I wouldn't be full after a meal without meat, I was gladly proven wrong. The owner took the time to explain Egyptian food and describe each dish, and offered his own recommendations based on what I liked and importantly, whether I'd be dining in or taking it out. Everything I tried was delicious and I'd be happy to come back sometime.

Egyptian Street Food with TLC! An inexpensive Restaurant with delicacies taken out of the street scene in Cairo! The "Koshari" is the staple in Egypt, but here it is a delicate serving that whams the palate! The Ful (fava Beans) is ingeniously served with "Tamiya" (Cairo falafel using fava vs. humus beans) - Just exquisite. And last the Kunafa dessert (Ultra light- Krispy and warm!) Do NOT miss that, it is from a different planet! OMG!
