Otaru Soko No.1

A nice stop off if you have been on the canal boat. They do German style beers & cuisine complete with ambient Bavarian music. Was not busy at time I visited but imagine its more busy late afternoon, as lots of seating capacity. It's also table service and they do some Bavarian cuisine.

Great German beers and food.

Beer was good, food was not bad, but service was horrible. Maybe they are having too many guests so they just don’t care.

Wonderful atmosphere! The place looks fantastic. I do not know what kind of beer we tried, but it was pink and rather sweet.

You feel like you are Germany. The beer types, food, and music are German. The prices are extremely reasonable. The beer prices are inline with the US (beer prices are much higher in Japan). The ambiance inside is great. They have a little store with local items as well.

This is a gorgeous German style beer hall. The food is good and so is the beer. It looks out over the canal and has plenty of seating. The beer is traditional German style made with German ingredients, and the sausage is fresh and “homemade.”

Delicious German pizza! Go in knowing that things are a little kitschy, but enjoy it all the same! You can only sit outside if you are drinking but not eating, and the tables are mixed smoking and non smoking. Overall, a nice lunch spot or a place to enjoy the views with a drink!

BEST seafood i had so far.. Highly recommended for their seafood.. But the beef was under average. Service is good.

Food quality is good although serving size may be a bit small. Had both dunkel and weiss beer, which were pretty light on the palate.

Had a yum festive beer.
