Oscar's Diner Cafe & Gelaterie

The food was exceptional and me and my co worker probably could not have found a better place to eat for lunch. The service was also amazing.

Was on a trip through Jefferson City, and decided catch up with some friends and explore a non-franchise home style breakfast spot. Oscar's fit the bill perfectly!Parking was easy, the staff very friendly and accommodating, with comfortable seating especially for this slightly handicapped chap and my friends pregnant wife. Breakfast was superb, and cooked to order without salt and a few dietary substitutions. The coffee was great, endlessly refilled as we chatted, and the over all bill for our party was very reasonable. The environment was clean, done in classic 50s kitch with chrome bar stools, high backed booths and comfy dining chair / tables with period photos and memorabilia on the walls.

A great diner! Food, service and retro decor is all really good. We have been there several times. Love it.

This is a wonderful restaurant and my new go to spot. Love their chicken sandwich with homemade chips. The waitress was very kind as well.

Amazing onion rings! Great service and delicious dinner style food. Cant go wrong with any item on the menu. Definitley a frequent spot for my wife and me.

Oscar's is friendly and comfortable and all the 50s nostalgia on the walls is cute. It seems to be extremely popular with us old folks, LOL... i'm 60 and when we go there it's like, look at all these "old" people! Anyway, the food is not five star but it's good. My go-tos are the Cobb salad and the hamburger steak, which they do three different ways (mushroom gravy, peppers & onions, or bacon & cheese--all very tasty). I do have one objection about the fries: they used to serve big cut steak fries, my favorite kind, but now they're serving the kind that have sort of a batter or crust on the outside, not great, IMO. The burgers are big and usually messy. The service is always good, they're very friendly.

I loved the chicken fried steak was very tender and there seafood was very good also

I've always loved this place. It's adorable with it's retro theme, and the wait staff is always nice. The food is about as good as you'd expect from a family dinner, too. It's a must for any visitor to Jefferson city

1st timer here. Ordered a club sandwich and it was a really huge sandwich and included a good sized portion of crispy fries which are my favorite. Quick service too!

Great atmosphere with 50s nostalgic flair. Food is classic American. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. Some breakfast items are available all day. Reasonably priced and the servings are quite large. Staff is ussualy very friendly and helpful. Some of the place does look a little rundown. Cracked seats, wore carpet etc. Sometimes the food comes out a little slower than you would expect. Great place to eat.

Super yummy food, I got the country fried steak and gravy, highly recommended!!

Came in on a busy Saturday night and was seated immediately. The server came over in perfect time taking our order and drinks. Food came in less than ten minutes. Best restaurant I’ve been too.

Loved the food. Although it was a very busy time, the waitress was friendly. The food was awesome, and made it out in a timely fashion. Also someone must have see or heard our distress (due to our daughter's special needs)and picked up our tab! We are truly appreciative.
